The new 2023 Dodge Durango offers two engine options. The entry-level model comes with a standard 3.6-liter V6 that produces 294 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel-drive setup is offered as standard and fuel economy delivers 22 mpg combined.
Optional AWD system slightly lowers the fuel economy figures. Optionally, you can equip new Durango with a 5.7-liter V8. This powerful V8 delivers 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. While it comes with significantly more power, this engine offers only 18 mpg combined. An 8-speed automatic gearbox is available on both engine options.
SRT Model
If you want even more power than you should opt for the 2023 Durango SRT. This high-performance variant comes with a 6.4-liter V8 and it generates 475 horses and 470 lb-ft of torque.
Price and Release Date
When it comes to pricing details, we are still waiting for an official confirmation. However, the 2023 Dodge Durango will surely start at around $31,000.
On the other hand, the Durango SRT will be priced at $65,000. New mid-size SUV will arrive in the last quarter of 2019. The forthcoming 2021 Durango will be the next-gen model so that’s when we can expect a complete redesign. This Dodge SUV will be the main rival to the models Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ford Explorer.
