The forthcoming 2023 Audi Q5 is one of the models you should be excited about. This SUV will introduce the Sportback variant, while we are waiting for the all-electric version to become official. The Q5 model is a luxury SUV that comes with a style and it looks very attractive. The interior is full of premium stuff and Audi will surely improve a couple of things by 2023.

However, the highlight of the 2023 Q5 is its Sportback version. The plug-in hybrid variant is available as well but we are hoping to see a brand-new all-electric Q5. The sales will start at some point next year, most likely in the last quarter of 2021.

The upcoming 2023 Audi Q5 Sportback is official. This model has been revealed and we think everyone is impressed. It is a sporty version that looks even more attractive. Moreover, you will get more standard amenities and numerous different upgrades. In terms of design, the Sportback model comes with better aerodynamics. Interestingly, this version is longer by 0.3 inches than the regular Q5 SUV.

The styling is more aggressive and the front fascia hosts a new grille and LED headlights. Inside the cabin, Q5 Sportback is slightly improved. As we said, this model does offer more standard equipment. On the other hand, the cargo area is reduced. A 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard and this model comes with additional driver-assistance features.

Engine and Hybrid Options

The all-new 2023 Audi Q5 will deploy a standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine once again. This engine is producing 261 horsepower and it comes with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive is also in the offer. The second option is a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The hybrid system comes with an electric motor that works in combination with a standard four-cylinder engine.

Total output delivers 362 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque. The Q5 Sportback model will deploy the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a mild-hybrid setup. The Sportback variant generates 261 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. However, the most powerful model is the SQ5 model that offers an impressive 3.0-liter V6 with 350 horses and 370 lb-ft of torque.

The Volkswagen group is focusing on electrification. The manufacturer will invest a lot of money in it and the plan is to electrify most of its vehicles in the coming years. The upcoming 2023 Audi Q5 EV is about to happen, according to the latest reports. This model will reportedly arrive next year and it will deploy famous PPE architecture.

The same platform will underpin the future Porsche Macan as well. Most info will become available in the coming months. The question is what Audi plans to do with its Q5 model. Will Audi transform it to an all-electric model or you’d be still able to opt for gasoline or hybrid variants.
