The upcoming 2023 GMC Yukon will continue with the improvements and high level of luxury. Yukon is a full-size SUV with so much to offer. GM will provide a couple of important updates, so all trim levels will benefit from novelties. New Yukon will arrive with numerous cosmetic upgrades and the interior will gain more tech. Furthermore, we expect to see new optional packages and much more.
Electrification is the next big step for General Motors and Yukon is just one of the candidates. While this is not official, a hybrid powertrain could happen. Yukon XL is also in the works, so the full-size SUV will remain a popular buying option among the customers.
2023 Yukon Facelift
New 2023 GMC Yukon continues to offer a recognizable design language. However, the design will be updated. Some trim levels will gain unique stuff, such as Yukon AT4. This model will introduce a larger grille and new black horizontal slats. On the other hand, the range-topping Denali trim will offer a Galvano mesh grille.
All trim levels will wear the same shape of the LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. Even the fog lights are the same and the side profile will feature more chrome accents. The wheels are ranged from 18-inch to 22-inch units. The rear section looks slightly wider and the LED taillights are sitting taller than before.
Interior Specs
The forthcoming 2023 GMC Yukon is a luxury full-size SUV with plenty of room. Everything on the inside looks premium so there is no need for drastic changes. Because of that, the interior is a carryover. It is an SUV that offers room for eight passengers and a longer Yukon XL variant is also available. The Yukon XL will offer up to 144 cubic feet of cargo space, which is incredible.
Both models are offering a 10.2-inch tablet-like infotainment touchscreen. On the other hand, Denali trim comes with a 15-inch head-up display and even more luxury. Denali is probably the most luxury variant in the full-size SUV segment. However, all Yukon’s trim levels are well-equipped, comfort is great and you will find plenty of luxury anyway.
Engine Options and Hybrid Rumors
As before, the new 2023 GMC Yukon will continue to offer a familiar 5.3-liter V8 engine. This gasoline output develops 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. Yukon offers 6,500 pounds of towing capacity, but its fuel economy ratings are far from perfect. If you want more power, upper trim levels are available with a larger 6.2-liter powertrain option. This engine can produce 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of twists. The optional engine helps Yukon to tow almost 8,500 pounds.
The AT4 trim is an off-road variant that comes with more ground clearance and more equipment. GM offers the same 10-speed automatic transmission. A 3.0-liter diesel V6 is another option, with 277 horses and 460 lb-ft of torque. Lastly, a hybrid powertrain is not official yet, but some sort of electrification is about to happen.
