2023 Jaguar I-Pace Gets Larger Battery and Faster Charging New

The forthcoming 2023 Jaguar I-Pace is about to gain significant upgrades. This popular crossover SUV is getting a facelift. Moreover, the all-electric variant will reach the dealerships as well. This model arrived in 2018 and it hasn’t changed since then. Now, Jaguar plans to deliver more upgrades. The 2021MY already gain some important changes and the 2023MY will build on that.

Some details are already available. That includes quicker AC charging, additional driver-assistance aids, and a new infotainment system. Furthermore, Jag will also introduce a cheaper variant of the I-Pace SUV. This cheaper model comes with the same driving range but it generates less power. The sales will begin later in 2021 and here’s what we know so far.

2023 I-Pace Facelift

The 2023 Jaguar I-Pace is getting a redesign. The changes that are predicted for the 2021MY will be applied to the 2023MY. As you know, Jaguar didn’t release the 2021 I-Pace due to the pandemic. Now, the 2023 I-Pace sounds even more exciting. Still, we are waiting for more official info. At this moment, we know the I-Pace model will arrive without horizontal slats on the upper grille.

Instead, Jag will add two nice-looking blades and additional thin accent strips on the bumper. The headlights are modified and new wheels are also in the works. A new daytime running lights are thinner and the rear section will gain a brand-new bumper. Besides new wheels, the side profile will introduce more pronounced lines and new exterior paints will be on offer too.

Updated Infotainment System

At this point, we don’t have interior details so nothing is official yet. Of course, the 2023 Jaguar I-Pace will surely introduce a lot of interior updates. Whatsoever, the manufacturer will most likely opt for the same type of upgrades that are present in the XF and F-Pace models. The goal is to deliver even more premium materials and generally, more quality.

Jaguar and Land Rover are already offering the newest Pivi Pro infotainment system and I-Pace will surely offer the latest version. Jaguar said that this is the best system so far, it is more functional and easier to use. We can also expect a redesign of the dashboard and larger displays, but this is not confirmed yet. Lastly, the I-Pace variant will also offer new safety aids.

Driving Range, Charging

This is the biggest mystery at the moment. We do know that the 2023 Jaguar I-Pace will arrive with an all-electric powertrain option. On the other hand, we don’t know what makes the rest of the powertrain lineup. On top of that, this all-electric variant will reportedly deliver over 234 miles on a single charge. Compared to the Volkswagen ID4, Jag offers about 16 miles less.

For such an expensive model, we’d expect to see a better driving range. Jaguar said the AC charging will be quicker, which is a good thing. The manufacturer will also offer a cheaper variant of the I-Pace model. It will provide the same driving range, but it will also provide less power. As for the most expensive I-Pace, a 90-kWh battery is in use, next to the dual-motor setup that provides 394 hp and over 500 lb-ft of torque.

2023 Jaguar I-Pace Release Date, Price

The all-new 2023 Jaguar I-Pace will now cost above $70,000. This is not official and even the launch date is not available at the moment. However, Jaguar will surely release its new all-electric crossover SUV by the end of 2021.
