The upcoming 2023 Aston Martin DBX is getting further improvements. This incredibly stylish high-performance SUV is basically ready for the next chapter. Of course, the goal is to rival Lamborghini Urus in every possible way. The DBX model is quick and it looks hot. According to Aston Martin, another goal is for the sales to reach 5,000 examples per year.
It is a priority for the manufacturer, so the all-new AMR version will also go on sale. Moreover, the DBX model will introduce a hybrid variant as well. Generally, this model is getting numerous cosmetic upgrades, interior updates and improved efficiency. The sales will begin later in 2023.
2023 DBX SUV Gets Improved Interior
Much of the DBX’s switchgear is shared with the rest of the Aston Martin family. The cabin of the 2023 Aston Martin DBX is handsomely stitched leather with soft-touch surfaces and a microsuede headliner. This SUV has a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, adjustable ambient lighting, three-zone temperature control, and heated front and rear seats as standard.
Optional features include ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a selection of even more luxurious interior materials. The rear seat space is generous, with enough knee and headroom for adults. On top of that, there is ample cargo capacity, with 22 cubic feet behind the back seat and 54 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. Unfortunately, we don’t know how many updates will the 2023MY include.
Powertrain Specs
The 2023 Aston Martin DBX is powered by a Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine. The engine produces 542 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, the engine comes with a nine-speed automated transmission. While the DBX is primarily rear-wheel drive, when rear axle slippage is detected, torque is transferred to the front axle through a central transfer case. Additionally, it features a limited-slip rear differential and is capable of towing up to 6000 pounds. Once again, the goal is to rival Lamborghini Urus and its 641-hp engine. Thanks to that, improvements in terms of performance are very likely to occur. There is a new mild-hybrid powertrain.
It combines a 3.0-liter turbo or supercharged engine with an electric motor. This version should deliver around 450 horses. However, the plug-in hybrid variant is the real deal. The DBX PHEV model will generate up to 603 horsepower, using powerful AMG-E Performance powertrain. On top of that, an electric motor will add 200 horses, making the DBX PHEV producing 800 horsepower. The Aston comes equipped with adaptive dampers and height-adjustable air springs—a benefit for off-road adventures.
