The forthcoming 2023 Audi Q9 has been spied for the first time, a few weeks ago. The prototype was wearing a lot of camouflage, so the latest changes are not so visible and easy to spot. Anyway, a new Q9 is coming to the markets and it will rival models such as Mercedes GLS and BMW X7. Audi’s new model will introduce an impressive list of driver-assistance aids.
On top of that, the interior is full of high-quality materials and comfort is just impressive. Under the hood, this SUV will share a lot of things with the Q7 and Q8 variants. Generally, Audi Q9 is a very modern and attractive model with so much to offer and its sales will begin later in 2021.
Audi Q9 Design, Spy Shots
The all-new 2023 Audi Q9 finally showed itself a couple of weeks ago. As we said, heavy camouflage perfectly hides the SUV’s design. Still, we know the Q9 SUV will look closer to the rest of Audi’s models. On the other hand, Q9 looks larger than the Q7 and Q8 models. And just like its smaller siblings, Q9 will also wear the same massive grille and boxier LED taillights.
The side profile will offer larger 23-inch wheels, the same wheels that can be found on the RSQ8 variant. These are the features that are visible under the camouflage. Still, the side profile is the biggest mystery as we expect upgrade bodywork and more pronounced lines.
Interior Wears More Premium Materials
The interior of the 2023 Audi Q9 will offer a couple of impressive things. The cabin is very modern and full of high-tech features. Again, the cabin looks closer to the Q8 and its interior design. Spy shots didn’t provide the details on the inside, unfortunately. The Q9 will host a lot of high-quality materials and various touchscreen options.
The cabin layout shouldn’t deliver surprises and we expect a regular seven-seat three-row configuration. A new infotainment system, tri-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, and leather seats are available. Furthermore, Audi Q9 provides a keyless entry/ignition system and much more. Audi’s famous Virtual Cockpit is recognizable and impressive, so we don’t expect significant changes. Finally, Audi will offer a lot of new advanced driver-assistance aids.
What’s Under the Hood?
We still don’t know which engines will be under the hood. Logically, the 2023 Audi Q9 will borrow engines from the Q7 and Q8 variants. That includes 3.0-liter gasoline and diesel V6 outputs. On top of that, the high-performance version could use a larger 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine.
Some reports are also predicting the same hybrid powertrain that can be found in the Porsche Cayenne. Still, even the most reliable reports are still predicting the engine lineup. At this point, nothing is official and Audi is yet to announce further details.
2023 Audi Q9 Price, Release Date
The upcoming 2023 Audi Q9 will hit the dealerships later in 2021. However, it won’t be a surprise if Audi decides to launch its new SUV in the first quarter of 2023. The price is not available yet, but Q9 will surely cost between $90,000 and $100,000.
