2023 BMW iX Redesign, Hybrid, Electric, & Specs. With Coronavirus going viral and motor shows such as Geneva Motor Show being canceled, we are trying to deliver the latest news. The upcoming 2023 BMW iX model is an all-electric SUV that will rival Tesla Model Y. Based on the i4 Concept, BMW iX won’t look anyway near the concept. The arriving SUV was previously known as the iNEXT. The question is: “What to expect from this model?”.
Here’s what we know so far about the new BMW iX SUV. That includes the review of its design, interior features, performance figures, and pricing details. This model will hit the dealerships in the first quarter of 2023. There should be a lot of rivalry in the all-electric SUV segment so get ready for excitement.
2023 iX Comes With Astonishing Design
As we said, the design of the 2023 BMW iX will depart from its original concept. However, can you blame the German manufacturer for delivering its recognizable taller grille? You may like it or not, but the bolder grille is the company’s signature in a certain way. The front part looks truly amazing with its slimmer LED headlamps flanked by nice sculpting of the bumper and chrome accents.
To the sides, this SUV looks cleaner and it comes with frameless windows. Flush door handles are brand-new and defining lines are gorgeous. Both front and rear fenders are looking unique and the rear part also offers slim LED taillights with bolder diffuser panel. Overall, the appearance is truly attractive and premium.
Interior Features
The interior will look closer to the i4 Concept. New 2023 BMW iX SUV will feature a futuristic design in a combination with traditional tech. The highlight of this interior is a larger driver-oriented touchscreen. This curvy unit shows controls for navigation, entertainment system, and climate functions. A steering wheel is a two-spoke unit with a polygonal shape and a flat bottom.
The forthcoming iX will feature a level 3 semi-autonomous driving system so expect a lot of driving-assistance aids. Moreover, you can expect new 5G connectivity, ambient lightings, and various interior color schemes. Leather upholstery looks very premium and BMW will install additional carbon fiber materials as well.
Performance, Driving Range and Charging
The approaching 2023 BMW iX will feature the company’s fifth-gen eDrive system. That means the range-topping trim level will surely deliver around 530 hp. Moreover, an 80-kWh battery pack is available and it will provide around 400 miles of driving range. All-wheel-drive setup will be standard and this SUV will sprint from 0 to 60 mph under four seconds.

BMW claims that charging from 0 to 80 percent will take half an hour. Of course, that includes a 150kW DC fast charger. We are still waiting for exact specs, especially the specs on the lower-grade trim levels.
2023 BMW iX Release Date, Price, and Competition
The debut of the company’s brand-new SUV will happen later this year. On the other hand, sales will start in the first quarter of 2023. The forthcoming 2023 BMW iX will rival Audi E-Tron, Jaguar I-Pace, and Ford Mustang Mach-E.
More importantly, this SUV will directly rival the new Tesla Model Y. The price is not available yet but expect for this model to cost more than most of its competitors.
