Last month, we saw the prototype of the 2023 BMW X7. The luxury SUV has been caught on camera and the first spy shots are very promising. Reliable reports are writing about the next-gen X7 SUV. The spy photos are proving that as we can see numerous significant updates. For a start, the X7 SUV looks more attractive and the front fascia suffered the biggest changes.
Besides that, the interior will gain various updates as well. That includes small cabin design improvements and more high-tech features. It is the best-selling SUV after the X5 version. It is one of the most important models in BMW’s lineup. As before, the manufacturer will offer three engine options.
BMW X7 Spied With Facelift
The spy photos of the 2023 BMW X7 are available. However, heavy camouflage perfectly hides some exterior parts, including the updates. On the other hand, some refreshments are easy to spot. As we said, the front fascia will gain the biggest improvements. That includes a more rectangular shape of the front section and a redesigned lower bumper.
The air intakes are more prominent, while the grille will slightly grow in size. Headlights are reshaped too, just like the rear bumper. We can’t see if the taillights are new or modified. New exterior paints are the most likely outcome, along with the new optional wheels.
Interior Upgrades
The upcoming 2023 BMW X7 will also introduce numerous cabin updates. It is a luxury interior full of modern features and other premium stuff. We couldn’t spot the changes on the latest spy shots. Various reports are predicting for the cabin design to remain intact. Moreover, the seating layout won’t change so there will be room for seven passengers once again.
Cabin space is generous, including headroom, legroom, and even cargo capacity. This SUV offers an impressive 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. BMW’s iDrive controller is up to date and the X7 model will gain even more high-tech features. That mostly includes various driver-assistance aids.
Performances
New 2023 BMW X7 won’t introduce any type of changes under the hood. It means there will be the same three powertrain options once again. The first engine is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo with 335 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. However, if you want even more power, a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 is optional and it generates 456 horses. On top of that, this engine delivers 480 lb-ft of twists.
The same twin-turbo V8 is available in the M50i model and it is the most powerful model you can get. The X7 M50i comes with 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. BMW offers an eight-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters. This SUV can tow up to 7,500 pounds, which is more than enough.
