2023 Mazda CX-30 Review New

Posted on

The upcoming 2023 Mazda CX-30 is one of the brand’s most impressive models. It is a crossover-SUV that has so much to offer and it also delivers good performances. Unfortunately, the 2023MY will be a carryover. We expect to see minor upgrades, such as small visual tweaks and introducing more tech features on the inside. Still, there is no need for radical moves at the moment. The turbocharged engine is recently introduced and it is a very nice addition.

Mazda will also offer features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The subcompact segment is getting better and better and the CX-30 model represents a very good option. Everything looks modern and nice, comfort is great as well. The sales will begin later this year and here is everything we know about this crossover.

2023 CX-30 Facelift

The exterior of the 2023 Mazda CX-30 will introduce small visual upgrades only. The platform is the same so this model will arrive with the same dimensions as its predecessor. Design-wise, CX-30 looks upscale and modern. The design language is shared with other brand’s SUVs and it is a recognizable look. We think the styling is premium, especially upfront with the famous shield grille.

The headlights are slimmer than before, but it is a truly minor upgrade. Mazda offers larger fenders and the side profile comes with a coupe-like appearance. The lines are sharper and the rear section will once again host triangular taillights and dual exhaust pipes.

Interior

The all-new 2023 Mazda CX-30 offers a very upright and modern cabin. This crossover comes with one of the nicest cabins in the subcompact segment. Because of that, there is no need to change anything at the moment. The use of materials is impressive, definitely in line with more luxury models. As before, Mazda offers its traditional dashboard design with nice lines, crisper dials, and a neat center console.

This model offers a large 8.8-inch touchscreen that comes with a very good-looking interface. A 12-speaker Bose audio system is also available. Lastly, the CX-30 model offers genuine leather upholstery. Mazda will only introduce a couple of tech updates, including an improved infotainment system and some new driver-assistance.

CX-30 and CX-30 Turbo Specs

As for the performances, the new 2023 Mazda CX-30 will continue in the same manner as the outgoing model. This means the 2.5-liter four-cylinder is available once again. It can produce 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. An optional 2.5-liter turbocharged engine is a much better choice as it delivers 250 hp. On top of that, this engine cranks out 320 lb-ft of torque.

Both variants are using the same six-speed automatic transmission. A front-wheel-drive setup is standard, while the all-wheel-drive system will be optional. However, AWD configuration is standard if you opt for the optional turbocharged engine.
