Exciting times are ahead of Ford and its pickup truck lineup. The upcoming 2023 Ford F-150 will introduce a lot of improvements. According to the latest reports, the Raptor variant will feature a supercharged V8 and it will generate around 700 horsepower. This model is available in a variety of trim levels, as always before. So far, we’ve seen spy photos of the F-150 EV model. According to Ford, this model won’t depart from the regular F-150 version. The only notable difference will be the plugin that sits on the driver’s side.
As for the design, we expect important exterior upgrades. Thanks to that, the new F-150 will get a more modern look and more aggressive front fascia. The grille and the headlights will grow in size, just like the taillights. However, F-150 will once again arrive with the same dimensions as the outgoing model.
2023 F-150 Raptor
The upcoming 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor is coming to the markets. This high-performance off-road variant returns for 2023 and the first details are already available. For a start, this model will feature a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. This unit also powers the Shelby GT500 model. The supercharged powertrain will generate between 725 and 750 horsepower. Moreover, Raptor will arrive with a coil-spring rear suspension and it will wear a brand-new design.
This is great to hear, especially after Ram revealed its 1500 TRX model with a Hellcat engine that delivers 702 horsepower. To compare, the previous Raptor used a twin-turbo V6 with 450 “only”. Now, the new 2023 F-150 Raptor will gain a new design, improved mechanics, and significantly more power.
F-150 Specs
The good news is that the Blue Oval will continue to offer an engine for every customer. The 2023 Ford F-150 will arrive with five powertrain options. That includes engines such as 5.0-liter V8, 2.7-liter, and 3.5-liter gasoline options.
Another option is a 3.3-liter naturally-aspirated engine, and even a 3.0-liter turbodiesel version is in the offer. However, the highlight of the 2023 F-150 pickup will be its hybrid and all-electric variants. No matter which engine you opt for, Ford offers a 10-speed automatic transmission.
2023 Ford F-150 Price and Release Date
The forthcoming 2023 Ford F-150 is scheduled to make its big debut next June. Moreover, Raptor and all-electric versions will arrive a couple of months later. The Blue Oval manufacturer is yet to release more details about possible changes and new F-150 variants. The base trim level will start at around $31,000. On the other hand, the best-possible F-150 models will cost almost $100,000.
