2023 Ford Super Duty This time we’re going to take a preview of the Heavy-duty trucks more powerful and capable than ever, and the Ford Super Duty 2023 currently holds the torque and crane crown.
Its Power Stroke diesel engine can produce 1,050 lb-ft of torque, and the strongest model can pull 37,000 pounds. Those two stats are slightly better than the Ram HD version and the heavy-duty version of the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra.
While best-in-class accolades are good for advertising and bragging rights, the 2023 Super Duty works best to be a multipurpose truck that can be configured as a stripped workstation or a fancy crane and everything in between.
Along with the diesel engine options, there’s the standard 6.2-liter V-8 petrol producing 430 lb-ft of torque or the optional 7.3-liter gas V-8 producing 475 lb-ft. All of that capability, plus a myriad of modern technology and an apartment-sized crew cabin, makes it easy to see past the cheap passages and clumsy road habits.
Next-Gen Super Duty will likely have some upgrades for the 2023 model year. All models are now available in Antimatter Blue, Carbonized Gray, and Lithium Gray.
On the base model with dual rear axle axles, the XL Power Equipment package adds a trailer-crane rearview mirror with heated glass and a fold-and-telescope that can be adjusted manually. All 2023 Super Duty models can now be equipped with a step bed as well.
2023 F250: 2023 Ford Super Duty Redesign
As far as we know, however, there is no official information from Ford, for the next generation of the F-Series. Ford Motor Company took the most sensible approach to redesign the exterior. A little clamp and tuck in here some chrome trim in there, new wheels, you know the drill.
According to automotive redesign expert Marouane Bembli, the front end is where the F-150 needs attention the most. He wasn’t referring to the countless grille options, but the headlights.
Providing a 90-degree view of the LED headlights and a few adjustments to the front bumper and fenders, The Sketch Monkey then went on to transform the luxury wheels from the Limited trim level to aftermarket units and chunky rubber boots.
A lift kit has also been added although virtually to give the F-150 a distinct sense of visual identity from the stock specifications.
Despite the significant differences, the revamped LED signature brings the new truck closer to the F-Series Super Duty big rig lineup. The pixel work also has us wondering what Ford is in store for a mid-cycle makeover.
As a preliminary overview of the 2023 Ford Super Duty Redesign, in this case, we will continue to monitor the movement of this Next-Gen super duty.
2023 Ford F250 Redesign
2023 Super Duty Redesign The Ford Super Duty lineup received a refresh for the 2020 model year consisting of revised styling, new technology, and the addition of the Ford 7.3L V8 Godzilla, among other changes.
The 2022 Ford Super Duty lineup also received several upgrades, including new interior and exterior color options, enhanced technology features, and the addition of several new and revised appearance packages. However, change is inevitable in the automotive world, and according to Automotive News, Super Duty will undergo a more comprehensive redesign in 2023.
AN didn’t provide much additional information about what this redesign would look like but noted that the Super Duty will still be offered with a diesel engine, which isn’t surprising, even though the F-150 recently dropped Ford’s 3.0L Power Stroke as an option.
Given how competitive this space is, we imagine that Ford will once again revise the output of its main offering, however, to stay ahead of the competition in terms of horsepower and torque.
Meanwhile, 2022 Super Duty buyers will enjoy several upgrades, including an all-new 12-inch landscape-oriented center touchscreen, similar to that found on the 2021 Ford F-150, which comes standard with SYNC 4 on the Lariat and above.
A 4.2-inch center screen remains standard on XL series trucks with SYNC 3 available as an option, while an 8-inch center touchscreen and SYNC 3 are standard on the XLT trimmed 2022 Ford Super Duty pickup.
For 2022, Super Duty is adding a new Lariat Sport Appearance Package that includes body-colored bumpers, exterior mirrors, and grille, as well as chrome exhaust tips and black platform running boards.
2023 F350 Redesign The Black Appearance Package is now available for the XLT model and includes premium 20-inch Ebony Black-painted alloy wheels, body-colored front, and rear bumpers, grille bars, six-inch Ebony Black running boards, and Oval Blue-black front and rear. Atlas Blue joins the exterior color palette, while the Baja, Navy Pier, and Light Slade interior themes/colors are also available.
As Ford Authority previously reported, the 2022 Super Duty will lose its under-hood service light, while the Off-Road Tremor Pack will no longer be available on XLT-trimmed trucks.
Recently, Ford Authority spies spotted a pair of Super Duty trucks driving around sporting AV (autonomous vehicle) hardware, which is used for hands-free driving technology, which could indicate that Ford is planning to introduce its new BlueCruise feature soon as well.
We’ll have more on the upcoming Super Duty redesign soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series News, Ford Super Duty news, and 24/7 Ford news coverage.
2023 F250 Changes
For the 2023 F250 Changes, the Super Duty lineup receives newly available infotainment features, fresh exterior and interior color options, and a new appearance package. The 12.0-inch touchscreen with Ford’s Sync 4 software and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is now available in heavy-duty pickups. And we expect more changes for the 2023 F250.
2023 F250 Super Duty Exterior and Interior
We will discuss the exterior first with various cabin configurations and cargo beds, 2023 Super Duty has various towing capacities and maximum payloads.
Each version offers generous ratings in both categories, but Ford fans who want the most impressive numbers will appreciate that the strongest Super Duty can carry a payload of 7850 pounds, tow up to 24,200 pounds on a conventional trailer hitch, and carry a massive 37,000 pounds on its fifth wheel and gooseneck hitch.
On the interior of the 2023 F250, functions live in harmony within the 2023 Superduty, with a sharp dashboard design and practical layout. Even the stripped-down Super Duty interior is an ergonomic environment with direct controls and materials meant to get messy.
The process starts with the Lariat-level trim which introduces leather upholstery seats and high-end options like ambient lighting, heated and cooled front seats and wireless charging.
Get ready for a premium King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited to unlock features that other competitors don’t have (such as massage chairs) and feel like royalty. Still, some chintzy items make even the coolest model interior.
Buyers have two choices of bed sizes (6.75 ft or 8 ft box), but a regular cabin can only be equipped with a long box. Many of the 2023 Superduty multi-purpose cubes and trays are highlighted by the large center console holder on models with bucket seats. The crew cabin takes storage a step further with a lockable box under the rear seat.
2023 Ford F250: 2023 Ford Super Duty Engine
The 2023 Ford F250 and 2023 F350 come standard with 6.2-liter V-8 petrol that makes 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. While the six-speed automatic is the base transmission, most Super D Duties have a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
All powertrains are paired with rear or four-wheel drive, and all models can be equipped with more powerful engine options. These include the gas-powered 7.3-liter V-8 developing 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft as well as the mighty 6.7-liter V-8 Power Stroke diesel that calls out 475 horses and an astonishing – and class-leading – 1,050 lb-ft of torque.
Super Duty also offers an off-road package – Called Tremor – which adds a slimmer lift and tire kit along with other road-ready upgrades. This heavy-duty Ford performs as expected of a big rig built to pull up to 19 tonnes.
When unloaded, the ride is stiff and rocky, but that sensation is lost when the bed is filled or the trailer is installed. The fanciest trim does a better job of absorbing wind and road noise on the road, but all models – even those with optional adaptive steering that Ford says is “more connected and attractive” – have a feeling of on-road weight exacerbated by feedback helmet that broke.
However, the trucks we drive benefit from solid, responsive brake pedals, and steering is manageable at low speeds and in tight spaces where maneuvering the longest models can be difficult.
2023 Ford F250 Super Duty MPG
2023 Ford F250 From the MPG standpoint, since the EPA doesn’t test vehicles as heavy as 2023 Super Duty and its big competitors, we can only judge them based on our tests.
Now that Ford has overhauled the powertrain options for its heavy-duty pickup trucks, we’ll have to wait until we get a new one to evaluate their real-world mpg on our highway fuel-efficient routes.
The petrol-powered 6.2-liter V-8 engine with a six-speed automatic remains the standard-setting on the F-250 model and the last one we tested delivered 15 mpg on the highway.
In comparison, the gas-powered Chevy Silverado 2500HD made 14 mpg in the same test. We expect the optional Power Stroke diesel from Super Duty to be the most fuel-efficient engine in its lineup.

2023 Ford Super Duty Release Date
Talking about the price and release schedule, we don’t know exactly when and at what price we will be offering for this latest generation Ford F250 2023 but if we look at its predecessors because this type of truck has various capabilities and configurations, our truck of choice will prioritize. practicality and price.
That put us in the F-250 with a crew cabin, a 6.75ft cargo bed, and a single rear axle. To enjoy luxuries like leather upholstery and dual-zone climate control, we opted for the Lariat trim level.
It also features a 10-speaker B&O audio system and an 8.0-inch display in the gauge cluster. Although the optional Power Stroke diesel engine has enormous torque, it requires a significant investment which we think is unnecessary.
Instead, we’ll opt for the optional 7.3-liter V-8, which has more power and torque than the standard 6.2-liter. It also features a 10-speed automatic versus an older six-speed automatic. Together with a four-wheel drive, our F-250 Lariat will be equipped with the FX4 Off-Road and Lariat Value packages.
Together they add all-terrain tires, a higher ratio rear axle, an electronic locker, heated and ventilated front seats, LED cargo bed lights, remote engine start, and more.
