If you didn’t know, GMC unveiled recently the new Canyon AT4 off-road-oriented truck that quickly became popular. Last month we heard many stories of the new off-road special edition that will boost the AT4 model.
GMC is preparing THE Canyon AT4X that should be a mechanical twin to the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2. This means we can expect the AT4X to gain several performance and suspension upgrades over the AT4 model. Our source claims that the new trim will use a 2.7-liter L3B turbocharged engine delivering a peak output in the region of around 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.
2023 GMC Canyon AT4X Design
In terms of design, we expect the upcoming 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X to arrive much more attractive than the AT4 model. From information that’s available, the forthcoming trim will feature more handsome styling and more off-road equipment. Considering that this model will share many cues with the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2, expect also several performance and suspension upgrades.
The most exciting news is that the AT4X will come as standard with the 33-inch Goodyear tires, which will be complemented by specially modified Multimatic DSSV dampers and wheel arches. Interior
On the inside, the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X will be much sportier than the regular variant. In general, we can expect it to feature the same attractive cabin as the AT4 with some extra features. This small pickup truck comes with precisely bold, durable and spacious interior. Like the regular Canyon, the AT4X will be available with the Crew Cab, offering comfortable seating for five.

Under the Hood
The new 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X according to GMC will be powered by a very potent engine. It will use a 2.7-liter L3B turbocharged engine producing peak output in the region of around 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.
The same engine could be used on the upcoming Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 model as well. We can also expect this model to come with a single transmission option, probably an eight speed or eventually 10 speed automatic.
2023 GMC Canyon AT4X Release Date, Price
The new GMC Canyon AT4X will be reportedly better equipment than the AT4 models. Generally speaking, the AT4X will be above AT4 trim, offering a much better off-roading features. According to the latest information, the forthcoming trim will be available to purchase next year.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer didn’t reveal how much this model will cost, but expect it to be a couple of thousand dollars more than the AT4 model. As we stated, the new trim will use the same mechanics as the upcoming Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 truck.
