The upcoming 2023 GMC Syclone is the pickup truck that is based on the popular GMC Canyon model. Moreover, thanks to a specialty vehicle engineering from New Jersey, this modified pickup truck is able to deliver a fantastic output of 750 horses and 600 pound-feet of twist. If you didn’t know, SVE launched its first Syclone in 2019, offering 455 horsepower from a supercharged V-6.
Now SVE is back, and we can expect more modifications, including upgraded suspension, brakes, and much more. Like the previous generation, the new one should also be limited to only 50 examples. SVE stated that we could expect the new powerful version to arrive later this year.
2023 GMC Syclone Exterior
The all-new 2023 GMC Syclone is based on the famous GMC Canyon pickup. Generally, it uses the same platform and architecture. However, Syclone comes in the extended cab configuration with a short bed. The styling is very muscular, with many sporty stances compared to Canyon. Also, it departs from GMC Canyon in many ways.
First of all, its front fascia is more muscular, featuring a new black grille and the same LED lighting system. On top of that, the new pickup is available with a 20-inch five-spoke wheels and plenty of matte black finishes. Back of this truck is also modified, and we can see that SVE added a new body-colored cover to replace the rear bumper and the new exhaust system.
Interior Offers More Comfort
Inside, the forthcoming 2023 GMC Syclone looks very premium. Unlike the regular Canyon, SVE added a leather package with additional leather inserts and leather seats. However, like in the Canon model, the layout remains complete the same. This pickup has the ability and enough room to host five passengers. The accents inside are eye-catching, along with the contrast stitching and logo on the headrests.
Generally, interior won’t depart at all from the pickup truck on which it is based. Some of the standard equipment are 8-inch touchscreen, onboard Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto capability.
2023 GMC Syclone Deploys a More Powerful Engine
The current GMC Syclone that is for the first time introduced in 2019 offers a supercharged V-6 engine that generates 455 horsepower. However, the new one uses a tuned General Motors’ 5.3-liter V-8 powertrain producing 750 horses and 600 pound-feet of twist.
Overall, SVE did excellent work swapping the V8 and supercharged it. The new model also uses a full-time AWD system, and it gets a new suspension. As you can see, the tuned version offers incredible performance. From some early testing, the new model is able to accelerate at just under 4 sec.
