The all-new 2023 GMC Yukon is a luxury SUV that will introduce numerous improvements once it arrives. It is a full-size model and GM plans to make it better and more premium. For a start, the manufacturer will deliver various visual updates. On top of that, the interior will also get more tech and new safety features.
Yukon will probably obtain new optional packages and much more. Electrification is a possibility, but this is not official yet. Yukon XL will become available once again, so Yukon really has so much to offer. We don’t expect changes under the hood, but the price will be slightly higher than before.
2023 Yukon Facelift
The upcoming 2023 GMC Yukon will get a facelift. For a start, this SUV comes with a recognizable design and larger dimensions. The XL variant is even bigger and it will also become available once again. Each trim level looks unique, especially the AT4 off-road trim. This model will gain a larger grille and black horizontal slats. As for the range-topping Yukon Denali, this variant comes with the famous Galvano mesh grille.
All trim levels will get the same type of updates. That includes modified LED headlights and daytime running lights. GM will introduce additional chrome accents, especially upfront. The side profile remains, including the wheels. The wheels are ranged from 18-inch to 22-inch rims. The rear part looks wider and the taillamps will now sit higher.
2023 GMC Yukon Interior Updates
New 2023 GMC Yukon is a luxury SUV. Thanks to its full-size dimensions, Yukon is also a very spacious SUV that offers a high level of comfort. The interior looks premium, so GMC won’t deliver major updates. Most of the things are a carryover, but we expect to see more safety aids and an updated infotainment system.
Yukon can accommodate eight passengers and it offers 144 cubic feet of cargo room. A 10.2-inch tablet-like infotainment display comes as standard. For an instance, Denali trim comes with a 15-inch head-up unit. Yukon Denali generally offers more luxury and it comes with more features. No matter which variant you opt for, premium interior design is guaranteed.
Hybrid Could Happen
As we said, no changes will happen under the hood. The 2023 GMC Yukon will offer the same 5.3-liter V8 engine with 355 hp. On top of that, this SUV develops 383 lb-ft of torque. Yukon is capable of towing 6,500 pounds. The optional 6.2-liter engine with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque is also available.
Towing capacity with an optional powertrain is rated at 8,500 pounds. A 10-speed automatic transmission is in offer. On top of that, Yukon will offer a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine. The diesel drivetrain delivers 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of twisting power. The hybrid variant is just a rumor at the moment and nothing is official yet.
2023 GMC Yukon Release Date, Price
The price of the new 2023 GMC Yukon SUV will begin at about $52,000. On the other hand, the range-topping Denali trim level will cost around $80k. GMC will launch its full-size SUV by the end of 2021, most likely around November.
