2023 Honda CRF450RL Rumors
2023 Honda CRF450RL – The Honda CRF450RL is a nice off-road bike so this year it has changed its name, showing how close it comes from the CRF450R and CRF450X models. For 2023, the design has been equipped with a factory handguard, new graphics, and updated ECU and fuel injection settings.
The best part is still the powerful 449cc Unicam engine, twin-spar aluminum chassis, six-speed wide-ratio transmission, long-travel suspension, and easy electric start. And then there are the specifications that no one can match: the quality and reliability of Honda.
2023 Honda CRF450RL
CrF450RL is equipped with catalytic converters and is completely legal in all 50 states — and off-road capable of almost anywhere on the planet.
That means you can drive it anywhere legal to operate a motor vehicle — in state and national parks, on roads, on public land. Plus, you don’t have to transport your bike to the trailhead in the truck or in the trailer. Best of all, it makes finding gas (or lunch) easy.
2023 Honda CRF450RL Features
START ELECTRICITY
The electrical start system ensures trouble-free starting from all conditions. The electric starter drives the clutch side of the crankshaft to provide superior lubrication to the starter gear while producing a narrow engine with a short, powerful crank.
CRF450RL Performance
UNICAM 449cc ENGINE
Unicam cylinder-head CRF450RL combines the best of single and double cam designs and shares its DNA with our championship-winning CRF450R.
This configuration saves weight compared to dual-overhead-camshaft motors, and the camshaft sits lower on the head for a more compact engine and a lower center of gravity. with a narrow included valve angle that flattens the combustion chamber for better ignition fire propagation and a high compression ratio.
FUEL INJECTION
The CRF450RL has a proven fuel injection system. The CRF450RL offers excellent torque and spot-on measurement and response, especially in the critical low rpm range. It also automatically compensates for changes in altitude and weather.
INTAKE OF TITANIUM AND EXHAUST VALVES
The intake of light titanium and exhaust valves allows the use of smaller valve springs, reducing the overall height of the engine.
WIDE-RATIO SIX-SPEED TRANSMISSION
Like our CRF450X, the CRF450RL shakes the gearbox’s six-speed wide ratio. It gives you low teeth that are perfect for tight and slow situations, and high enough top gear to take the highway to the next gas or trailhead stop.
DOUBLE RADIATOR
The CRF450RL dual radiator has an enhanced core area for superior heat dissipation compared to conventional dual radiator designs. The coolant recovery tank is located in front of the engine between the downtube of the frame to increase the center of the mass, and the tank is protected by plastic skid plates.
ELECTRIC FAN
The CRF450RL is a type of “drive anywhere” bike, and because the conditions vary greatly, we have equipped it with a lightweight electric fan for radiators. Rock crawling or riding on Arizona’s single hot track, helps keep your engine cool.
FINAL-DRIVE SILENCER SPROCKET
Designed to make your bike quieter while not gaining weight, this unique drive sprocket is just another example of the CRF450RL’s innovative engineering.
INERTIA-TUNED CRANKS
Crf450RL cranks have 13 percent more inertia than the CRF450R. it all aims to smooth power delivery and make the machine more user-friendly in tight technical situations.
LED HEADLIGHTS
The CRF450RL has all LED lighting, including headlights. That’s a big deal because it takes a lot of weight from the front end. And lighting patterns are also designed specifically for on-and-off-road situations.
LED TAILLIGHTS
LED taillights are integrated into the rear fenders. It’s light, compact and stiff.
LITHIUM-ION BATTERY
offers excellent performance, just like the CRF450RL itself, conventional battery weight, but not this premium part. This is all part of why crf450RL performs so well.
SKID PLATE
Crf450RL factory skid plates are lightweight, but also offer engine and frame protection under serious rider demand on engines like this.
TITANIUM FUEL TANK
Holding 2.0 gallons, the CRF450RL premium titanium tank is lightweight and tough.
18-INCH REAR WHEELS
The 18-inch CRF450RL rear wheels give you an excellent choice of on/off-road tires.
IRC GP TYRES
CRF450RL tires give you good off-road traction and life on the highway. Tires have always been an important part of on/off-road bikes, and we’ve hooked you up with some greats here.
LOW CENTER OF GRAVITY
The Unicam compact engine and Honda’s well-known concentration in center-of-mass engineering help keep the CRF450RL’s center of gravity low. That means the motor feels lighter and helps to handle it as well.
TWIN-SPAR CHASSIS
It’s the same design as our latest CRF450X usage, and it’s really a big deal. This means the CRF450RL is a true off-road bike and not a compromise.
The twin-spar aluminum frame is lightweight and rigid and provides the basis for excellent CRF450RL handling. The chassis geometry is highly responsive and also wider than the standard MX frame to accommodate a six-speed transmission.
WORK-STYLE FRONT BRAKES
Compact twin-piston front brake calipers, anodized aluminum brake pistons, and lightweight 260mm front discs offer great stop power while minimizing unsprung weight for increased turn and handling.
REAR BRAKE WORKING STYLE
The HRC-type rear brake system uses a 240mm brake rotor combined with an integrated rear-cylinder master-and fluid reservoir, an arrangement that removes separate reservoirs and hoses.
NEW FACTORY KEEPER
You ask; we delivered. CrF450RL 2021 is equipped with hand protectors installed directly from the factory. They are fully integrated as well, unlike some aftermarket add-ons. They stick right to the pivot control lever, match your new bike, and even vent.
BLACK DOING RIMS
They may not help you go faster, but the sweet black DirtStar DID rim definitely looks good.
FUEL MILEAGE METER
An important feature for planning gas stops and calculating your bike’s range under a variety of conditions, Fuel Mileage Meter shows current fuel mileage and average fuel mileage and fuel consumption. Displayed in miles or kilometers, and valid for trip meters A and B. Fuel Mileage Meter is in the same digital instrument display as the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, and digital clock.
GEAR-DRIVEN BALANCER
Gear Driven Counterbalancer can reduce vibration. The 8 clutch plates create the surface area necessary to handle the engine’s large torque, while the carefully matched clutch springs provide a light feel on the lever.
SIDE STAND
Hey, the sides and might seem like a not-great thing, but take a look at one of the crf450RL uses. This forged alloy piece is just another example of how the CRF450RL is doing it right.
SUPERIOR ERGONOMICS
Placing the rider’s foot on the side of the frame helps improve comfort and handling.
WORKS OF MX STYLING
Having trouble seeing the difference between our factory MX bike and CRF450RL? You’re forgiven. The “RL” looks like our MX bike because it comes from them — the smooth bodywork makes it moveable, and the updated 2021 in-mold graphics not only look cool but also durable.
