2023 Honda CRF450X Performances

With 6 speeds on the CRF450X transmission compared to the typical five MX motors gives you more options, and makes this versatile motor even more versatile. You have equipment for everything from east coast rock crawls to wide-open Steel explosions.

Lightweight, compact, and offers excellent performance—just like the CRF450X itself! Conventional batteries are heavy, but not this premium part. It’s all part of why your new CRF450X performs that well.

The CRF450X gets a special crankshaft, different from our MX CRF450R motor and our dual-sport CRF450L. Why? Crank weight and inertial character make a big difference in how the bike provides power. there’s nowhere to scribble and try to save—with CRF450X, power delivery is what you want.

The CRF450X 2023 dual radiator has an enhanced core area for superior heat dissipation compared to conventional dual radiator designs. The cooling tank is located in front of the machine between the downtube frames to increase the center of gravity, and the tank is protected by plastic slip plates.

Holds a 2.0 gallon, premium titanium tank CRF450X lightweight and tough. CrF450X factory slip plates are lightweight, but also offer engine and frame protection under serious rider demand on engines like this.

The electrical start system ensures the trouble-free start of all conditions. The electric starter also moves the clutch side of the crankshaft to provide superior lubrication on the starter gear while producing a narrow engine with a short, strong crank.

Honda’s Unicam cylinder head combines the best single and double cam designs. This configuration contributes to a compact engine that saves weight on top of a comparable dual-overhead-camshaft motor and also allows for narrow valve angles.

It flattens the combustion chamber to facilitate ignition flame tethering, allowing for a high compression ratio. Because less space is taken on the cylinder head, the camshaft shaft sits lower on the head for a more compact engine and a lower center of gravity.

Mild titanium intake and exhaust valves allow the use of smaller valve springs, reducing the overall height of the machine.

2023 Honda CRF450X Features

2023 CRF450X features our proven fuel injection system. CrF450X also offers excellent torque and spot-on measurement and response, especially in the critical low rpm range. It also automatically compensates for changes in altitude and weather.

Chassis

The CRF450X uses a twin-spar aluminum chassis that takes advantage of all the lessons we’ve learned on MX tracks and from winning countless Bajas. The frame is light and rigid and provides the basis for excellent CRF450X handling. The chassis is also wider than the standard MX frame to accommodate a six-speed transmission.

Tires

Dunlop MX52 crf450X tires give you good superior off-road traction in a variety of terrains and conditions. Tires have always been an important part of on/off-road bikes, and we’ve connected you with some greats here.

Honda’s compact Unicam engine and well-known concentration in center-of-mass engineering helped keep the CRF450X’s center of gravity low. That means the motor feels lighter and helps with handling as well.

with compact twin-piston front brakes, anodized-aluminum brake pistons, and lightweight 260mm front discs offering great stopping power while minimizing unsprung weight for improved turn and handling.

The HRC work-type rear brake system uses a 240mm brake rotor for integrated rear master-cylinders and fluid reservoirs, a set-up that removes separate reservoirs and hoses.

CrF450X’s 18-inch rear wheels give you an excellent selection of off-road tires. Plus, the black DID rim also looks good.

CRF450X 2023 is now equipped with factory guards as standard equipment. Specially designed for off-road riders and manufactured to Honda standards, they help protect you from rocks, branches, spines, and brushes. Plus, it gives your CRF450X a “done” look, right from the start.

Gear-Driven Counterbalancers reduce vibration and drive water pumps. Eight clutch plates provide the surface area needed to handle the engine’s large torque, while the carefully matched clutch springs give the lever a light feel.

For 2023, we give crf450X some new styles and graphics that are super crisp. The “X” looks like our MX motor because it comes from them—the smooth bodywork makes it easy to move around, and the graphics in the print not only look cool but also durable.

the sides and may seem like nothing big, but take a look at what the CRF450X uses. Tucked high and out of the way, this forged alloy section is just another example of how CRF450X does it right.
