2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Colors, Interior, & Redesign. New 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe is getting a facelift. The latest spy photos are the only proof so far, but some exterior improvements are still not visible. Besides the redesign rumors, even the spy shots are showing numerous changes. However, Hyundai will deliver only a mid-cycle refreshment. The current generation is present for two years now, so complete redesign is still years away.
We don’t expect changes under the hood. However, a hybrid powertrain is a possibility. The interior will surely gain numerous updates, mostly in the tech department. New Santa Fe will hit the dealerships later this year.
2023 Santa Fe Spy Shots
A heavily disguised 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe is showing the latest exterior changes. Despite a large amount of camouflage, all-new Santa Fe still shows new exterior features. There will be changes, but stories about total redesign are false. Thanks to that, Hyundai will provide mid-cycle updates only. For a start, halogen lights are suggesting that we are dealing with one of the upper trim levels.
On the other hand, this is just a prototype, so everything is possible. LED daytime running lights are now T-shaped. The rear part is showing revised taillights, and Hyundai redesigned the bumpers. Furthermore, the alloy wheels are visible too. We don’t believe the entry-level model will get these rims, so this is probably one of the more premium trim levels on the photos.
Interior Rumors
Spy photographers didn’t catch interior details at all. However, the interior won’t remain the same, so you can expect numerous interior updates. The 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe should introduce more standard equipment and more driver-assistance features. As for the design, all we can do is guess. Still, we believe the cabin design should carryover in 2023. The interior is very upright and stylish. A three-level instrument cluster should remain, along with the seating layout.
That means there will be two rows of seats and a room for seven passengers. The base trim level is far from premium level, but upper trims are providing real luxury. According to our sources, a sliding rear seat system won’t be available from now on. On the other hand, a new infotainment system and other high-tech updates will happen for sure.
When We’ll See a Hybrid Powertrain?
Under the bonnet, the new 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe won’t change. That means there will be two engine options. Standard engine choice is a 2.4-liter with 185 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. This unit does not deliver so much power, and its fuel economy ratings are not impressive at all. Whatsoever, this powertrain delivers 22 mpg in the city. For that reason, we recommend an optional 2.0-liter turbo engine.

This option provides 235 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Here comes the interesting part. Just like the Kia, Hyundai also promised hybrid powertrain that should be available in its best-selling models. Santa Fe is surely one of the SUVs in the company’s lineup that should get this sort of electrification. On the other hand, Hyundai remains silent on this subject.
2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Price and Release Date
The launch of the new 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe should happen in the second half of 2023. Whatsoever, you can expect this model in the last quarter of the year. The price of the current model starts at $27,000.
However, the next Santa Fe will now cost closer to the $30,000 for its base trim level. Santa Fe will continue to rival Toyota RAV4, Nissan Murano and Honda CR-V.
