The upcoming Jeep Wrangler 2023 will reportedly arrive with numerous changes and upgrades. This iconic SUV is an off-road model with no real competition. That will change in the near future, once the Ford Bronco finally arrives. The 2023 Wrangler will continue to look recognizable and distinctive with its seven-slot grille and round headlights. Moreover, Wrangler is a perfect combination of traditional look and numerous high-tech features.
That includes the latest technology amenities and of course, impressive safety systems. This SUV will once again hit the dealerships with a proven 3.6-liter V6. On top of that, a plug-in hybrid variant is also available. Various reports are writing about new Wrangler 392 variant that will add even more off-road goodies. Moreover, Hemi V8 engine will debut for the first time, but we’ll get to that once it is official.
2023 Wrangler Design
The forthcoming 2023 Jeep Wrangler will once again arrive with a recognizable design. Wrangler is the category for itself. It is an off-roading SUV that has so much to offer. And while its appearance is very conventional, Wrangler is actually the most practical SUV you can get. Jeep offers both two-door and four-door variants. Moreover, Wrangler comes with removable doors, a windshield, and a roof-top.
The two-door version is 166.7 inches long, which is longer than the four-door Unlimited trim. Boxy appearance remains, but the 2023 Wrangler will introduce a couple of styling upgrades. The changes are minor and Wrangler will continue to offer its iconic seven-slot grille and round headlights.
Interior Changes
The same story continues inside the 2023 Jeep Wrangler. This SUV is a perfect mix of traditional look and modern technologies. We don’t expect significant upgrades but something will surely change. The approaching SUV will once again offer the same cabin design. We think the interior is aging and everyone hoped to see more dramatic changes. Instead, Jeep will only introduce a larger touchscreen. That means the five-inch unit is gone, finally.
On the other hand, some amenities are more than satisfying. For example, upper trim levels are offering gorgeous Nappa leather upholstery. Moreover, heated/ventilated seats are available, along with a relatively new camera system. The dashboard won’t change but an updated infotainment system will become available on the 2023MY.
Wrangler and Wrangler 4xe Specs
Like before, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler will once again offer the same Pentastar engine. It is a reliable and proven 3.6-liter V6 gasoline that generates up to 285 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission is in the offer and it makes off-roading adventures more exciting. Optionally, Jeep offers a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 270 horsepower. Unlike the standard V6 unit, the optional engine comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The list of available powertrains continues with a 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel. This engine can produce 260 hp and it will also power the arriving Jeep Gladiator pickup. Finally, Wrangler 4xe is a hybrid variant that combines a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with electric motors. Total output is rated at 375 horses and 470 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, Wrangler 4xe provides around 50MPGe and almost 30 miles of all-electric driving range.
