The 2023 Mazda CX-7 will go on sale this year. Reportedly, the plan is to introduce this new crossover later in the year. The CX-7 variant is more fashionable than the majority of the company’s models, and it has a more upright interior. At first sight, the Kodo design language is visible this model will definitely look more distinctive.
Mazda did, however, make a few minor changes to the exterior. After being discounted in 2012, the CX-7 will return in 2023 as a mid-size crossover-SUV. The return would undoubtedly bring a few interesting items, and the price will begin at about $30,000. Here’s everything you need to know about this upcoming crossover.
Mazda CX-7 Exterior Design and Dimensions
As previously said, the 2023 Mazda CX-7 will use the brand’s well-known Kodo design language. Mazda, on the other hand, will make a few changes. As a result, the latest CX-7 will look more modern and sleeker. The styling is almost identical to that of the smaller CX-5 and larger CX-9 series. The new Mazda crossover-SUV borrows heavily from these two models. That includes the same recognizable grille as before, but with a higher front fascia.
At first look, the LED headlights have the same outline as well. According to the latest news, the CX-7 will have a 110-inch wheelbase and will be 190 inches long. Lastly, new exterior paints, unique wheels, and some other brand-new exterior features are a must for this crossover.
Interior Features
The interior of the 2023 Mazda CX-7 will also look modern and premium. The cabin contains familiar buttons and controls found on Mazda crossovers and SUVs. This is, though, a positive thing because Mazda has a very upright interior style. The CX-7, like the CX-5, would be a compact model with plenty of legroom for all passengers. The base trim level has a plethora of standard equipment, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Bluetooth and SiriusXM radio are both standard. On the other hand, wireless charging, and other high-tech features will be optional. Upper trim levels will add even more luxury. That includes larger displays, leather seats, and the latest driver-assistance aids for improved safety.
Engine Rumors
The forthcoming 2023 Mazda CX-7 will have two engine choices. A 2.5-liter engine with 175 hp is the standard drivetrain option. Furthermore, this unit produces 310 lb-ft of torque. The engine would be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
A SkyActive-D engine is optional and it is a much better choice. This 2.2-liter engine with 225 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque is more than enough for this crossover. Since this isn’t official yet, don’t be surprised if Mazda provides one or two surprises.
2023 Mazda CX-7 Release Date, Price
The new mid-size crossover SUV will slot above the CX-5 and below the CX-9 model. We are talking about the vehicle’s dimensions and also its price. The 2023 Mazda CX-7 should be priced at $30,000 or slightly less. The Mazda CX-7 will go on sale later in 2021 and we are waiting to hear more details in the coming weeks.
