2023 Nissan Pathfinder Redesign, Colors, and Interior. The forthcoming 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is getting a redesign. After the newest spy shots, things are much clearer now. As many reports suggested, Pathfinder will gain numerous upgrades and its debut will happen this summer. First of all, the exterior will look more modern and attractive. Also, the interior is getting plenty of modern touches.
However, we still don’t know if the arriving Pathfinder will be the next-gen model. One thing is certain, Nissan will stick to a current D platform. That means the Pathfinder remains front-wheel-drive mid-size SUV. Thanks to that, the engine lineup should stay intact.
2023 Pathfinder Spy Shots
Spy photographs caught the new test vehicle of the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder. Thanks to the heavy camouflage, the latest changes aren’t that visible. The false panels were placed down below in order to hide body lines. However, some of the changes and upgrades were easy to spot. For a start, it appears that the new-gen Pathfinder is smaller. We are not talking about significant dimensional change but it is still a change.
Overall, we are slightly disappointed as it seems that Nissan opted for less drastic changes. Next-gen models are usually introducing huge upgrades. This is not the case with the 2023 Pathfinder. The grille is slightly bigger but it looks like the front fascia looks almost the same. Upper trim levels will also introduce numerous changes and add more premium amenities.
Interior Changes
On the inside, the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder will remain as spacious and modern as before. However, we can expect a lot of upgrades, mostly in terms of technology. Nissan will offer more standard features and Pathfinder will be additionally modernized. Comfort is at a really high level and the mid-size SUV will be available in four trim levels. The base trim level will arrive with an 8-inch touchscreen, USB ports, HD Radio and tri-zone climate control.
SL trim level is getting more luxury such as 13-speaker sound system, leather seats, and heated front seats. The range-topping version called “Platinum” offers a lot of luxury. Moreover, basically everything is offered as standard. The highest possible safety rating, panoramic moonroof, and rear-seat entertainment system are all available.
Engine Rumors
The next-gen 2023 Nissan Pathfinder will stick to its current D platform. That means the front-wheel-drive system is once again offered as standard. The very same architecture underpins current Altima, Murano and Maxima models. A four-wheel-drive setup will be optional once again. A CVT transmission will most likely remain the only gearbox choice. Nissan refused to say if the new engine will power the 2023 Pathfinder.

A turbocharged engine that delivers over 300 horsepower is rumored at the moment. Until that happens, a 3.5-liter V6 remains the only engine choice. This potent V6 generates 284 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid version is another rumor, but this mid-size SUV will have to change its platform in order to offer this system.
2023 Nissan Pathfinder Price and Release Date
Nissan didn’t provide any details on the release date or latest changes in price. According to numerous reports, a new 2023 Nissan Pathfinder will go on sale this summer. The price should start at around $33,000 and the Premium trim level will cost over $50,000.
