The upcoming 2023 Nissan Rogue Sport is due for a complete redesign. This model will now wear a sharper exterior design and the interior will be more modern. The Rogue Sport will slot between smaller Kicks and larger Rogue model. The compact crossover is also available in Europe, as Nissan Qashqai.
While we don’t know everything about the 2023 Rogue Sport, this model will feature a hybrid powertrain option. Moreover, Nissan will provide both the FWD and AWD setups. Of course, redesign will include new exterior paints and much more. The sales will begin at some point in 2023.
2023 Rogue Sport Exterior Redesign
The 2023 Nissan Rogue Sport will wear the same styling as the European Qashqai version. The redesign is happening and this model will gain a significantly sharper look. We expect to see new 20-inch wheels, new front fascia and additional exterior paints. Everything on this crossover looks sleek, especially the front section with a recognizable V-Motion grille.
We don’t know if the Rogue Sport will grow in size a little bit, but this is what many reports are predicting. On top of that, we are waiting for the official reveal, as Nissan is about to introduce a lot of cosmetic upgrades.
Interior Overhaul
The interior of the new 2023 Nissan Rogue Sport will also gain a lot of updates. Qashqai will arrive with a more stylish and more modern dashboard, so Rogue Sport will wear the very same dash as well. Moreover, this crossover will gain a new flat-bottom steering wheel and a tablet-like infotainment touchscreen.
A 9-inch touchscreen will be offered as standard, along with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. This is an upgrade over the previous generation with a standard 7-inch unit. New version of the infotainment system is available and we also expect to see more premium materials. For an instance, Europe-market Qashqai offers quilted leather in the range-topping trim level.
No Hybrid Powertrain in the United States
Interestingly, markets around the globe will get a Rogue Sport model with a hybrid powertrain. Unfortunately, the 2023 Nissan Rogue Sport in the U.S. will only offer a gasoline engine. It is a four-cylinder output that provides smooth ride and great fuel efficiency.
On the other hand, it isn’t a powerful engine as you might think. Whatsoever, Rogue Sport will produce 141 hp and 147 lb-ft of torque. However, Rogue Sport has 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. Nissan will offer a CVT transmission and it will be the only option you can get.
2023 Nissan Rogue Sport Price, Release Date
We don’t know how much the 2023 Nissan Rogue Sport will cost. However, many reliable reports are predicting a starting price of around $25,000. This crossover will be available in three trim levels. The range-topping trim will cost over $30,000. Still, we are waiting for Nissan to reveal more details.
That includes exact engine specs, pricing details and of course, the release date. The Rogue Sport crossover will surely go on sale later in 2023. The biggest rivals are Subaru Crosstrek, Honda HR-V and Kia Seltos.
