The upcoming 2023 Nissan Titan XD should arrive next year with mild upgrades. After not so good sales in the past, Nissan will try to make this truck more competitive. First of all, the new model will receive plenty of upgrades regarding the exterior and interior. However, as before, it will be available solely in crew cab configuration.
Besides, we heard many rumors, and one of them is that Nissan will return the diesel engine. Alongside the diesel powertrain, Titan XD also offers a 5.6-liter V8 gasoline engine. Interestingly, the same engine powers Armada and Infiniti QX80 SUVs.
2023 Nissan Titan XD Upgrades
The design of the current Nissan Titan XD doesn’t help it to stand out in its segment. However, the 2023 model should bring some mild changes to fix that. Nissan will revise the Titan XD’s look with a new grille, front bumper, wheels, and more modern elements. Overall, Nissan also revealed that the headlights would provide more light at their low beam setting.
On the other hand, LED lightings are also available in the bed at all four corners. Moreover, like the grille design, taillights styling are depending on trim levels. Apparently, with this move, the manufacturer will try to get this truck on the track.
Interior Enhancement
The new 2023 Nissan Titan XD will indeed offer excellent interior. As mentioned, this truck comes in the form of a solely crew-cab configuration, providing plenty of amenities. Once more, Nissan uses excellent Zero Gravity front and rear seats, offering the perfect balance of support and comfort.
On top of that, Base S trim and SV models are well equipped this time, including a 7.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The SV trim level and higher also features 5.0-inch gauge-cluster screen that can display diagnostics, fuel economy, and an off-road accelerometer. However, more amenities can be found choosing the trims like Pro-4X, SL, and Platinum Reserve. These trims come with a bigger 9.0-inch display as well as a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
2023 Nissan Titan XD Powertrain Specs
The new 2023 Nissan Titan XD will be most likely available with two engine options. The first one is a gasoline-powered 5.6-liter V-8 that makes an impressive output of 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. This model still uses a nine-speed automatic transmission, and is equipped with standard four-wheel drive.
The XD is excellent in its segment, and many rumors indicate that the diesel engine might once again power it. However, we are still waiting for official confirmation. Unlike the Ford Super Duty that can pull up to 37,000 pounds with a gooseneck hitch, the Titan XD with the same setup can handle only 11,040 pounds. It is generally less than Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, each tug up to 12,000 pounds.
Release Date and Price
The upcoming 2023 Nissan Titan XD will introduce more improvements than the previous model. This truck will reportedly go on sale at some point next year. Many believe that it could make its official debut in the summer. Diesel powertrain might be available once more, and we can expect some mechanical changes as well. Like the current model, the new one will probably keep the same price, starting at about $35,000.
