The all-new 2023 Subaru Crosstrek will go on sale later next year. This crossover manages good sales at the moment, but Subaru is looking to improve that. The Crosstrek model comes with tradition and it is one of the most reliable models in its segment. New version will arrive with mid-cycle refreshments. That includes various improvements, including the styling and the interior.
Thanks to that, Crosstrek will gain more tech and its appearance will be more modern. Subaru offers a standard AWD system, like before. However, we don’t know if the 2023 Crosstrek will introduce a new powertrain option. The price will slightly increase so the new model will cost more than its predecessor.
2023 Crosstrek Redesign
In terms of design, new 2023 Subaru Crosstrek will suffer a couple of changes. Interestingly, new model looks no way near the first-gen Crosstrek that was introduced in 2012. This crossover departed from its roots. However, this is a good thing as the Crosstrek model looks attractive and modern. We don’t know if there will be any changes in terms of size. Most likely, Subaru will keep dimensions intact. On the other hand, the front fascia will surely look updated.
The manufacturer will provide a more upright grille design and different shape of the headlights. To the sides, this crossover will wear new optional wheels, while the 18-inch wheels will remain. As for the Crosstrek Sport variant, it will get more or less the same updates. This model will continue to offer its iconic Plasma Yellow Pearl exterior paint.
Interior Details
The interior will get more modern features and its design will slightly change. The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek will continue to offer ample headroom and legroom, just like the outgoing model. The cargo area is generous as well. Crosstrek offers 20.8 cubic feet of the cargo area. However, folding the rear seats will open up 55.3 cubic feet of space. This model is still offering an outdated 6.5-inch touchscreen.
We don’t know if Subaru plans to introduce a new and larger display. If that does not happen, we strongly recommend an optional touchscreen. The brand’s EyeSight safety suite is available once again and it will feature the newest driver-assistance systems. The Crosstrek Sport model will introduce better comfort, sporty seats, and more standard equipment.
Crosstrek and Crosstrek Sport Specs
Under the hood, the arriving 2023 Subaru Crosstrek will probably offer the same engine lineup. There are still rumors about the new powertrain option. However, nothing is official yet. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine remains standard and it can generate 152 horsepower. This unit is available in entry-level trims and it also provides 145 lb-ft of torque.
If you want more power, Crosstrek Sport and Limited trim levels are using a larger 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. It can produce up to 182 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. Subaru offers both manual and CVT transmission and the AWD setup is offered as standard.
2023 Subaru Crosstrek Price and Release Date
The price of the approaching 2023 Subaru Crosstrek will start at $24,000. This is a small price increase over the current model. On the other hand, Premium trim will cost over $27,000 and Crosstrek Sport around $28,000.
The range-topping Limited version is priced at over $30,000. Subaru will launch its new crossover in the second half of 2021. The Crosstrek model will continue to compete with Jeep Renegade, Mazda CX-3, and Honda HR-V.
