2023 Tundra Trail Edition Ugprades and Colors
The all-new 2023 Toyota Tundra Trail Edition will ride on the new platform. It is a brand’s TNGA architecture that is also able to accommodate a hybrid powertrain. The same platform underpins the new Toyota Tacoma. Tundra truck will lose some weight, so we should expect improved fuel efficiency. As for the Trail Edition, this model will introduce a couple of interesting upgrades. For a start, this edition will arrive with a chrome grille from the 1794 Edition.
Thanks to that, the front fascia will look both retro and classy. Tundra Trail Edition also adds unique wheels and lockable bed storage with insulation and drain plug. Black exterior badging is visible at first glance, and Trail Edition will add unique exterior paints. That includes Cement, Army Green, Super White, and Midnight Black colors.
Interior Updates
As we said, the new Tundra will ride on a new platform. Thanks to that, the 2023 Toyota Tundra Trail Edition will get more interior room. On top of that, this truck will obtain a new 12.3-inch touchscreen. The list of upgrades continues with 4G Wi-Fi connectivity and improved Toyota’s Safety Sense 2.0 suite. This suite is full of driver-assistance aids and safety systems such as sign recognition and adaptive cruise control.
Trail Edition itself comes with the front bucket seats and driver’s seat with lumbar support. Furthermore, Trail Edition will arrive with a new center console and tilt/telescoping steering wheel. Additional cup holders, all-weather floor mats, and black upholstery with tan stitching are also available.
V8 Engine Specs
The forthcoming 2023 Toyota Tundra Trail Edition is not a high-performance variant. For that reason, it will ride on the same engine as the regular Tundra truck. A 5.7-liter V8 gasoline engine is under the hood, and it can produce 380 hp. Moreover, it also generates up to 400 lb-ft of torque. A 3.5-liter twin-turbo is the latest engine that Tundra got.

This unit will use an 8-speed automatic transmission, and Toyota’s newest 10-speed gearbox will be optional. A hybrid powertrain should become available, but we don’t have any info about its specs. The Japanese manufacturer will release more details closer to the release date.
2023 Toyota Tundra Trail Edition Price, Release Date
Regular Tundra truck starts at around $35,000. On the other hand, the new 2023 Toyota Tundra Trail Edition will cost $43,500. Toyota will build only 5,000 Trail Editions for 2023, and the sales should start by the end of 2020.
