2023 VW Atlas Refreshments, Looks Like Cross Sport. Just a couple of days ago, Volkswagen released some sketches. The German manufacturer is teasing us with the latest refreshments on its 2023 VW Atlas three-row SUV. So far, this model has been a success, despite the company’s focus on electric vehicles. New Atlas will hit the dealerships next May, righter after the launch of the new Atlas Cross Sport model.
As we can see, Atlas SUV will get mid-cycle refreshments. That includes numerous exterior and interior updates, mostly minor. There is no word about possible engine changes, but most likely, both four-cylinder and V6 units will remain.
New Renderings of the 2023 Atlas Are Looking Promising
New renderings are looking quite good. The upcoming 2023 VW Atlas will gain sharper look, and some exterior features will be additionally modified. For a start, a three-row SUV comes with a deeper grille. Moreover, LED headlights are revised. The grille will gain additional bar while the daytime running lights are now finished in hockey-stick shape.
The front bumper looks more prominent than on the current model, and it slightly longer as well. In the back, VW Atlas gets reshaped taillights with a brand-new pattering. Lastly, the rear bumper seems to be the same as on the Cross Sport model.
Interior Details
Full interior details are not available yet. However, the Cross Sport model will have a great impact on the interior of the new 2023 VW Atlas. A new D-shaped steering wheel is the best proof. On top of that, Atlas will wear more stitching, especially on the upper trim levels. As for the tech, Volkswagen will update the infotainment system and wireless charging device.
Moreover, the three-row SUV will gain more driver-assistance features in 2023. That includes low-speed lane centring and adaptive cruise control with the stop-and-go system. However, both features are optional on the base trim level.
Volkswagen Won’t Introduce New Engine
To this date, the German manufacturer didn’t say anything about possible drivetrain changes. That probably means we can expect the same engine lineup as in the current model. The approaching 2023 VW Atlas will use the same 2.0-liter turbo-four in its base trim level. This engine is producing 235 horsepower, and it comes with a standard front-wheel-drive system.

Generally, this three-row SUV offers more than pleasant ride, and its wheelbase is rated at 117.3 inches. Interestingly, but there is no word on the possible hybrid powertrain.
