The all-new 2023 Maserati SUV will go on sale in one-year time. In 2018, the manufacturer announced its plans to replace aging models with the new ones. The only year after that, Maserati opted for refreshments of the existing models. Refreshments instead of a complete redesign are the first hint that we will see a brand-new vehicle in the foreseeable future.
Moreover, Maserati will release its new models with some sort of electrification. New SUV will compete in the premium D-segment with Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz GLC. New sports car based on the Alfieri Concept and new Ghibli will also arrive in the second half of 2023.
2023 Maserati SUV Design
For a start, the new Maserati Crossover SUV will surely look very premium and upright. However, we don’t know how exactly will the new model look. Surely, Maserati likes to blend exotic Italian vibe into a new model, and this version will be no different. For that reason, you can expect numerous color options, athletic stance, and impressive styling.
Moreover, various trim levels and different packages will help every customer to buy exactly what the buyers need. Furthermore, expect standard LED headlights and taillights. New large wheels are also available, along with the great aerodynamics and numerous optional equipment. Lastly, a new Maserati SUV will slot below the Levante model in terms of size.
What About Interior?
Same story with the interior. New Maserati SUV will introduce very upscale materials and a high level of luxury. For a start, Maserati will offer common systems, mostly driver-assistance aids. Moreover, even the base trim level could arrive with the premium stuff such as leather upholstery or panoramic sunroof. Moreover, the heated steering wheel and power-adjustable seats are a must.
We don’t know how many seats will be in the cabin, but a three-row seven-seat SUV is the most likely outcome. Finally, Maserati will deliver Level 2 autonomous driving capability while the Lever 3 will become available in a two-year time.
Hybrid and All-Electric Powertrains Are Very Likely
The upcoming Maserati SUV will use some sort of electrification. Most likely, it will be a hybrid powertrain option. However, don’t be surprised if we see an all-electric version as well. Maserati plans to deliver hybrid and battery electric powertrains to all of its arriving models. New Maserati SUV is no different. This crossover will slot below the Levante in terms of dimensions and probably in terms of power.
The current Levante SUV generates 424 horsepower in its base trim level. Moreover, Trofeo Levante is producing up to 590 horsepower. Knowing that, the 2023 Maserati SUV could deliver somewhere between 350 and 400 hp. The automaker will also provide numerous advanced sport driving modes with new brakes and suspension.
2023 Maserati SUV Price and Release Date
According to the latest reports, Maserati SUV will start with pre-production later this year. Thanks to that, the sales should begin in the first quarter of 2023. Before that, Maserati will launch its new Ghibli model, along with the new super sports car.
As for the 2023 Maserati SUV, it will rival premium models such as Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz GLC. Unfortunately, the pricing details are not available yet.
