Cadillac’s first all-electric model, the Lyriq SUV, is currently in development, but reservations will start this September. The brand-new 2023 Cadillac Lyriq is a futuristic all-electric SUV that will compete against the Tesla Model X, Audi e-Tron, and Jaguar I-Pace.
According to reliable sources, the Lyriq model should have several sophisticated technologies in addition to its appealing exterior appearance. This variant shares the new Escalade’s dashboard. Essentially, it features the same 33.0-inch curved LED display that has never been seen on a Cadillac vehicle previously. In essence, the display functions as both the entertainment system and the driver’s gauge display for the SUV. Continue reading to learn more about this amazing SUV.
2023 Lyriq Looks Futuristic
Unlike the rest of the Cadillac lineup, the all-new 2023 Cadillac Lyriq will feature a fresh design. This SUV’s nose includes more horizontal components, giving the front fascia a more aggressive appearance. As can be seen, Cadillac is switching to the shield-like grilles found on its traditional models. Despite its new architecture, the new Lyriq has the same dimensions as the XT6. In essence, both models are rather similar.
The redesigned Lyriq, on the other hand, features a more appealing grille and vertical LED lighting components that run the length of the outboard edge of triangle inlets. A Cadillac emblem is concealed under a narrow gap across the width of the front deck. Additionally, Lyriq has a larger hood, beautiful wheels, and a big glass section that culminates in a rear liftgate located on the C-pillar.
Interior Features
The interior of the upcoming 2023 Cadillac Lyriq provides only luxury materials and cutting-edge technology. However, we are not certain yet if this model will only be offered in two rows. Many assume that a three-row version will be available.
On the other hand, the Lyriq’s body shape is more akin to a hatchback than to the sloping coupe-inspired four-door SUV. As a result, we believe that there will be no place for a third row. However, we do know that it will have a unique 33-inch wide LED display that houses both the digital instrument cluster and infotainment center. Additionally, Cadillac includes a unique head-up display that displays that shows speed and other crucial information.
Lyriq SUV Sprints From 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 Seconds
To this moment, the manufacturer didn’t reveal that much info about the new 2023 Cadillac Lyriq. In general, we have no idea how much horsepower it will produce. What we do know is that the Lyriq will come standard with rear-wheel drive and a rear-axle electric powertrain.
According to early reports, all-wheel drive will be available, adding a second motor to the front of this SUV. Cadillac claims a range of more than 300 miles, which is rather impressive. Additionally, we should anticipate a comparable acceleration time to that of the recently tested Jaguar I-Pace, which accelerates to 60 mph in under 4.3 seconds.
Price and Release Date
The base price of the 2023 Lyriq will be $58,500 before the destination charge. It’s a far more affordable alternative for a premium SUV intended to compete with the Tesla Model X in terms of size. However, the price is surprisingly affordable in our honest opinion. The sales will begin at some point next year, probably in the second half of 2023.
