2023 Lexus NX 300

New 2023 Lexus NX 300 Redesign – The Lexus NX 300 for the 2023 model has finally been revealed. The redesigned SUV gets a wide choice of engines, including a new plug-in hybrid model. The 2023 Lexus NX 300 series consists of the NX 250 and NX 350 petrol models and the NX 350h and NX 450h+ hybrid engines.

The Lexus NX is the second best-selling Lexus model after the RX, so don’t be surprised if this Japanese luxury car brand launches the latest version of the Lexus NX 2023 with a very attractive engine choice.

What’s New 2023 Lexus NX 300?

For the 2023 model, the NX comes with an updated exterior and interior and a plug-in hybrid engine in new top-of-the-line trim. The NX will arrive at the end of the year and could start at around $40,000.

Exterior Interior Design

Talking about the new exterior design of the NX, it’s not too revolutionary and radical. But the integrated spindle grille design is better than ever. On the back, the NX 2023 removes the Lexus logo and replaces it with the words ‘Lexus’.

Swipe to the interior. The changes are really visible. The Lexus NX is equipped with a large infotainment screen in the centre, equipped with several physical buttons. The touchpad controller has also been removed, giving it a more compact feel. Lexus claims that the new model has more space in the rear seats and rear trunk.

The NX now comes with heated front seats as standard and heated rear seats as optional. You can also choose between Black Open Pore wood and Black Prism trim.

New Features

Toyota has launched a new multimedia system aimed at the next-generation model. The first car to get the new infotainment system is the 2023 Lexus NX 300, called the Lexus Interface. The Toyota version will follow in the fourth quarter of 2021, but there is no word on which vehicle will get it first. At first glance, the new Toyota and Lexus UI will be a major quality of life improvement, especially for the latter.

Unlike the old touchpad-based interface, the new system seems easier to use and more intuitive despite adding many new features. We expect the Toyota version to be as fast and promising as the new units to make their way to Lexus models. With connectivity being such a big component of the car ownership experience, it’s nice to see Toyota finally starting to embrace it.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

In terms of specifications, the Lexus NX 250 will be powered by the same 2.5 litres inline four-cylinder engine as the Toyota RAV4. This engine can produce 203 hp of power and 249 Nm of torque as a power distributor used an eight-speed automatic transmission and front or all-wheel drive (AWD). Furthermore, for the NX 350h model, it combines a 2.5-litre petrol engine combined with two electric motor-generators, which produces 239 hp or 20 hp more than the RAV4.

Power is sent to the front wheels as standard via an eight-speed automatic gearbox, but you can opt for an all-wheel-drive system. This isn’t a great performance as it takes 8.2 seconds and 8.6 seconds for 60 mph from rest in the front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, respectively.

While the NX 350 is equipped with a 2.4-litre inline-four turbo engine, with a power output of 275 hp and 429 Nm of torque, which makes it much faster than the previous NX 300 model 2.0-litre turbo engine.

While for the top variant, the Lexus NX 450h+ is powered by a plug-in hybrid engine, four cylinders, 2.5 litres, and an 18.1 kWh lithium-ion battery. All-wheel-drive, this car can produce a maximum power output of 302 hp.

2023 Lexus NX 300 Price Release

Lexus itself has not officially announced the price of the latest models of the NX series. However, it is estimated that the Lexus NX 2023 is priced from USD 38,635 for the 2023 Lexus Nx 300 model with front-wheel drive in the United States market.
