The all-new 2023 Chevy Cheyenne could be on its way. According to the latest reports, this pickup truck will hit the production in the coming weeks. Many of you remember Cheyenne as a promising concept, presented in 2003. For the beginning of the 2000s, Cheyenne was one of the most impressive concepts. However, the new pickup truck won’t be based on the same concept. The times are different, and new Cheyenne will probably use a different model as an inspiration.
While we are waiting for the official details, some rumors are already predicting new Cheyenne as one of the Silverado’s trim levels. In our opinion, these stories are making perfect sense. If that truly happens, then Cheyenne pickup truck will be based on the Silverado model, and it won’t look as unique as many of you hoped.
2023 Cheyenne Design
As we said, the 2023 Chevy Cheyenne and the Cheyenne Concept from 2003 will have nothing in common. Instead, a new brand’s pickup truck will look closer to the Silverado model. While the concept came with a brilliant and innovative design, new Cheyenne pickup won’t look that much unique. Its design language won’t depart from the rest of GM’s trucks at all. It will be a pickup that makes a standout in the crowd, but exact dimensions are not available yet.
Moreover, this model will wear modern styling and interesting exterior features. The front fascia will wear more prominent grille and sleeker headlights. The LED lights will be offered as standard, and we expect a couple of unique exterior colors. Lastly, the shape of the taillights will be precisely the same as on the original concept.
Interior Features
On the inside, a new 2023 Chevy Cheyenne will look very modern and elegant. The cabin will be premium enough for Cheyenne to beat its biggest rivals. That means the pickup will get more high-end touches and more standard equipment. Of course, the latest systems and driver-assistance aids are a must for this model.
The comfort will be great, but leather upholstery will be optional in the entry-level trims. The dashboard will be the same as the dash inside the Silverado pickup. The list continues with the same displays, audio system and some other amenities.
Possible Engine Options
We thought it will be impossible to predict possible engine options. However, if 2023 Chevy Cheyenne really becomes one of the Silverado’s trim levels, things are pretty straightforward. A potent 6.2-liter V8 powertrain will be offered as standard. This engine is capable of producing 420 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque.

A diesel engine will become available too, but maybe not in the first year of the production. There is still room for one more engine, but hybrid powertrain won’t be offered at all. We are still waiting for GM to release more specific details, including details about transmission and fuel economy figures.
