New Plant for the Electric Pickup Truck
Ford is working on the new facility where the new all-electric pickup truck will be made. The 2023 Ford F-150 EV will be produced in the Rouge complex. However, the battery assembly is separated from the Rouge facility.
This second plant will build batteries for both hybrid and all-electric vehicles. According to Blue Oval, it is the most advanced plant so far. This plant will use autonomous guided vehicles, robots, and the latest smart tools. The famous Dearborn plant is retooled and a regular F-150 truck is made there.
