The upcoming 2023 Ford F-150 EV is reportedly in the works. This model is official and it should go on sale by the end of the next year. Many reports are writing about the first-ever F-150 model with an all-electric powertrain option. To this moment, Ford didn’t release exact specs, including the power and driving range. However, we expect astonishing performances from the Blue Oval and its best-selling vehicle.
So far, we’ve seen a video of the F-150 Hybrid model that easily outperforms the Ram 1500 Hybrid truck. According to Ford, the F-150 EV will be even more impressive. The manufacturer will produce a new F-150 EV in its new plant and the sales should begin next November. Some details are still not available but here’s what you should expect from this new truck.

As we said, the figures for the new 2023 Ford F-150 EV are not available yet. Ford promised impressive performances and a great driving range, but that’s about it. From what we know, a new pickup truck will arrive with a dual-motor setup. Thanks to that, this variant will become the most powerful F-150 model ever.
Furthermore, Blue Oval said it will be the fastest truck with astonishing acceleration. Of course, we expect amazing towing ability, but the exact numbers are yet to be released. The F-150 EV will arrive with a mobile power generator, just like its hybrid sibling. Like any other electric truck, the F-150 EV will also offer ample front trunk or frunk.
2023 Ford F-150 EV Release Date
The very first reports suggested that the 2023 Ford F-150 EV will go on sale at some point in 2023, probably in early summer. However, the latest stories are saying that the electric pickup truck could arrive before that.
The F-150 Electric could be launched by the end of 2021, but this information is not confirmed yet. The Blue Oval calls it a battery-electric pickup truck with the lifetime cost of ownership. We expect big things from this model but we are still waiting to hear about its price and exact release date.
The all-electric pickup truck segment is heating up, although the segment still does not exist. Just like the 2023 Ford F-150 EV, various models are yet to be launched. That includes the new GMC Hummer, Rivian R1T, and Tesla Cybertruck. It will be interesting to see which model will deliver the best performances.
On the other hand, it will be even more interesting to see which model will be the best-selling one. According to the latest results, Ford sells over 800,000 F-Series models a year. The results are impressive, but the all-electric segment could surprise us, without any doubts.
New Plant for the Electric Pickup Truck
Ford is working on the new facility where the new all-electric pickup truck will be made. The 2023 Ford F-150 EV will be produced in the Rouge complex. However, the battery assembly is separated from the Rouge facility.
This second plant will build batteries for both hybrid and all-electric vehicles. According to Blue Oval, it is the most advanced plant so far. This plant will use autonomous guided vehicles, robots, and the latest smart tools. The famous Dearborn plant is retooled and a regular F-150 truck is made there.
