The all-new 2023 Ford Super Duty is the next-gen model so we expect some significant changes and upgrades. It is the most likely outcome for the 2023 model but nothing is official yet. Reportedly, the Blue Oval manufacturer is working on additional improvements. That includes a new exterior design, a more modern interior, and possibly a new powerplant. The current generation is on the markets for eight years, so the new-gen Super Duty makes sense.
Some things are obvious to happen but Ford is still refusing to make it official. We have an idea of a new design language and some of the interior upgrades are already available. We don’t know if the performances will improve, but Super Duty will remain the most reliable lineup in the heavy-duty segment.
2023 Super Duty Changes
The upcoming 2023 Ford Super Duty is getting a redesign. This lineup of trucks will now gain an even more aggressive look. Robust appearance remains but the new Super Duty will look more stylish without any doubts. From what we know, the architecture remains so Ford won’t provide dimensional changes. As for the design, the front fascia will gain a sharper grille that wears additional chrome accents. The headlamps are slimmer and definitely more modern than before.
Ford will opt for wider flared fenders and we expect to see new exterior paints. Some reports are saying that the Super Duty lineup will get three new colors. The rear part will offer the remote-operated power-locking tailgate and new tailgate step. The Tremor package is once again available on the F-250 and F-350 models.
Interior Details
The forthcoming 2023 Ford Super Duty will gain more tech and more standard equipment. That also includes the newest driver-assistance aids. However, we believe the cabin design will remain intact. We know the Super Duty lineup will arrive with the same dimensions as the outgoing model. That means the interior room is unchanged as well. The range-topping trim levels will introduce new interior colors and Ford will probably introduce new upholstery.
New massaging seats are now available with a 10-way power adjustment, which is great. The base trim level offers Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation, and Bluetooth. Moreover, Wi-Fi can now accommodate up to ten devices and Type-C ports are available. Lastly, we think the all-new Super Duty will arrive with more upright materials and new floor mats.
Gasoline and Diesel Engine Specs
Nothing will change under the hood. The 2023 Ford Super Duty will offer both gasoline and diesel powertrain options once again. A 7.3-liter V8 is the most powerful gasoline engine in the segment. It can produce 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, this engine comes with a relatively new 10-speed automatic transmission.
On the other hand, the familiar 6.7-liter PowerStroke turbodiesel is an optional engine. Diesel powertrain is capable of producing over 1000 lb-ft of torque. However, exact torque and horsepower figures are not available yet. Super Duty will continue to use a standard rear-wheel-drive setup while the all-wheel-drive system remains optional.
2023 Ford Super Duty Release Date and Price
The approaching 2023 Ford Super Duty will go on sale later in 2021. Blue Oval will release more info about it in the first quarter of the next year. The price starts at about $35,000, while the range-topping trims are available for over $50,000. As we already said, F-250 and F-350 models are offering affordable Tremor package that improves off-road capabilities.
