However, GM didn’t opt for significant upgrades this time. Instead, Acadia will gain a couple of minor updates. Still, this model looks classy and it offers a premium interior.
There are three engine options and new transmission is available as well. Interestingly, but the price should remain, which is great news for the customers. New Acadia will go on sale in the last quarter of 2023.
2023 Acadia Comes With Modern Design

The all-new 2023 GMC Acadia will get a couple of minor upgrades. The 2023 Acadia arrived with more significant changes so we are not surprised at all. This mid-size SUV introduced a complete redesign. GM provided a redesigned grille and new squared-off headlights. Bumpers are new as well so the SUV looks bolder than before.
The rear end comes with C-shaped taillights and a wider upper section. Thanks to that, the 2023 Acadia is mostly a carryover. All of the refreshments are very subtle and barely visible. New Acadia will wear more chrome accents and its bodywork is slightly modernized. In terms of size, Acadia remains intact.
Interior
The same story continues on the inside. The 2012 GMC Acadia will remain spacious mid-size SUV and it will introduce a couple of minor updates only. That includes a new infotainment system and a couple of new driver-assistance aids. The reason for such minor changes is the current model that suffered a complete interior overhaul. Acadia comes with a new rotary shifter, instead of a traditional one.
That creates more space so GM installed new cup holders. The new infotainment system is better than the previous one. Acadia also offers new fast-charging USB-C ports and new navigation. The mid-size SUV offers three rows of seats once again and there is room for seven passengers.
Engine Specs
The forthcoming 2023 GMC Acadia offers a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine. This is the newest engine in the lineup and it delivers 230 horsepower. Moreover, this output has been rated at 258 lb-ft of torque. However, this is an optional drivetrain, while 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 193 hp remains standard. On the other hand, a 3.6-liter V6 is reserved for the range-topping models. Potent V6 generates 310 horses. More importantly, GM decided to ditch its six-speed automatic transmission.

Instead, a new nine-speed automatic gearbox is available. The all-wheel-drive remains optional on the base trim level. Acadia provides a smooth ride and new transmission will surely boost that feeling. It is one of the safest SUVs on the market and its “good” crash-test scores are looking promising. Moreover, the forward-crash test received a “superior” grade which is a significant improvement.
2023 GMC Acadia Price and Release Date
The arriving mid-size SUV will once again cost around $30,000. We don’t expect for 2023 GMC Acadia to cost more than the outgoing model. The changes are minor so it is the only reasonable thing GM could do. On the other hand, the range-topping Denali trim provides a lot of luxury and it will cost around $50,000. The sales will start in the coming months, probably in the last quarter of 2023.
