Honda’s new lithium-ion battery pack will provide up to 16 miles of electric range, substantially more than the original model (rated at 13 miles). It can even be charged with a 120-volt electrical outlet. But you may never have to do that, as the Clarity also gets a 54-horsepower electric motor powered by a 17-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

Will there be a 2023 Honda Clarity?

The future of Honda cars has been a hot topic for years, but recently the company has announced that it is working on a new car. The 2020 Honda Clarity will be the first plug-in hybrid from the company in several years. The diesel variant has the most efficient engine available with a claimed combined economy of 5.1 L/100 km, including the 95 PS (70 kW) 1.5-liter three-cylinder, turbocharged Jet Turbo diesel engine. The diesel three-cylinder turbodiesel version can switch to a two-cylinder mode for extra efficiency during driving.
