The 2019 Santa Fe arrived with significant changes as the next-gen model. For that reason, the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe will get drastically fewer upgrades. On the other hand, customers will be satisfied with most of the innovations. For the start, this SUV will introduce new driver-assist features.
Sliding rear seat is no longer available and Hyundai dropped SEL Plus and Ultimate trim levels. This two-row five-seat compact crossover will continue to offer impressive interior. The exterior is stylish and very modern. In terms of performances, 2023 Santa Fe will ride on the same four-cylinder engine options. On top of that, hybrid version and the high-performance Santa Fe N are coming to the dealerships.
2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Grille Features Angular Design
Like the current model, all-new 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe will borrow some cues from the company’s Kona model. That includes a big part of the front fascia, mostly headlights and LED daytime running lights. The front grille is intact for 2023 and it features angular design. The taller rear glass is also bigger now and taillights are sleeker.
Side profile now comes with more prominent lines and this cue looks gorgeous. Additional satin-finish trims are visible at first glance. This compact-crossover SUV will ride on 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
Interior is Modern and Unique
If you ignore the hard plastic inside the cabin, everything else feels and looks upscale. The upcoming 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe offers a very pleasant interior that looks modern and unique. A 3-level instrument cluster is unchanged for 2023 and there is no need for additional changes. Seats are very supportive so you don’t have to worry about comfort. Rear legroom is impressive and even taller persons won’t have a problem with the headroom.
An optional panoramic sunroof is just a bonus. Buttons and controls are impressive, just like their layout. For instance, all safety controls are on the left side of the tilt/telescoping steering wheel. The navigation screen is perfectly positioned too. Cargo area is decent, to be honest. For 2023, Hyundai Santa Fe will ditch its Ultimate and SEL Plus trim levels. New driver-assist systems are available and some optional features are now standard. Sliding rear seat is no longer available. Santa Fe will remain a two-row five-seat crossover SUV.
2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Engine Specs
New 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe offers two different four-cylinder options. The base engine is a 2.4-liter that produces 185 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, 2.0-liter is optional and it comes with a turbocharger. Thanks to that, this engine generates 235 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Both powertrain options will benefit from the electric variable-valve timing system.
Hyundai says that this system is quicker and it additionally reduces emissions. The standard engine is rated at 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. On the other hand, an optional unit delivers 20/27 mpg. All-wheel-drive setup is optional and it provides slightly lower fuel efficiency.
