The forthcoming 2023 Hyundai Tucson will introduce plenty of refreshments. That includes various styling changes and more technology. Thanks to the latest modifications, the new Tucson will look more dramatic and more angular. The cabin will remain elegant, simple, and modern. However, the highlight of the 2023 Tucson is its powertrain options.
This SUV comes with gasoline, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrain choices. With the latest improvements, Tucson is ready for the next chapter. New model will compete with old rivals such as Nissan Rogue, Toyota RAV4, and Honda CR-V. The sales will begin in the second half of 2021.
2023 Tucson Wears New Design Language
The all-new 2023 Hyundai Tucson will look more angular than the current model. Moreover, this SUV comes with a more muscular stance with short overhangs and a longer wheelbase. This combo provides a model’s attitude and it looks sporty. The front fascia provides a new textured grille and new LED headlights. As for the rear section, Tucson will get narrow taillights and we think all of the updates are very refreshing and unique.
Tucson SUV will also grow in size, by 5.8 inches. Furthermore, its wheelbase is now 3.4-inches longer. However, the Tucson version that is sold outside the US will feature a shorter wheelbase. The latest visual upgrades are a part of Hyundai’s “Sensuous Sportiness” design language. The 2023 Tucson will offer new 19-inch wheels and the PHEV variant will look exactly the same as the regular gasoline-powered version.
Interior Refreshments
The approaching 2023 Hyundai Tucson will remain a five-seat SUV that offers a modern and practical interior. Everything on the inside looks stylish and elegant. However, Hyundai will provide more tech so the interior will be even more modern. The range-topping trim level will from now on offer a dual-stacked 10.25-inch touchscreen. This unit serves as the hub for audio, climate control, navigation, and much more. A fully digital cluster is available too.
Lower trims are available with a smaller 8-inch touchscreen that also supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integrations. The smart in-home system is available in some markets. This feature allows you to start the warmers for the steering wheel and seats before you enter the vehicle. Lastly, Tucson will deliver new interior color themes and more driver-assistance aids.
Three Engine Options Including PHEV
Under the hood, the new 2023 Hyundai Tucson will offer a standard 2.5-liter gasoline engine. Beside that, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options are also available. However, hybrids are built around a smaller 1.6-liter turbo-four engine.
Official fuel efficiency figures are not available yet but we should expect an astonishing fuel economy. Standard 2.5-liter provides 187 hp and 182 lb-ft of torque. The regular hybrid comes with an electric motor and it will produce 227 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.
2023 Hyundai Tucson Price and Release Date
The price of the 2023 Hyundai Tucson will now start at around $25,000. It is a small jump in price, given the number of changes and updates. The range-topping trim is available for $40,000, but the price will largely depend on the powertrain option.
The price is in line with rivals such as Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, and Honda CR-V. As for the launch date, we believe Hyundai will release the new Tucson later in 2021.
