The forthcoming 2023 Infiniti QX55 is coming to the markets. Many people see this model as the QX50 variant, but with the sloped roof. However, the reality is slightly different. The QX55 comes with the fastback styling and it looks very attractive. Its design is inspired by the FX model that was released in 2003. Indeed, QX55 and QX50 are sharing the same platform and even the same turbocharged engine.
However, QX55 offers a standard AWD system and sportier wheels. Its styling is more aggressive and even the interior is slightly better. Overall, this coupe-like crossover SUV has so much to offer and its sales will begin in the second half of 2021.
QX55 Looks Impressive
The 2023 Infiniti QX55 is a brand-new model. Thanks to that, this SUV will show us something new and possibly Infiniti’s new design language. As we said, we could say that this is the QX50 model with a sloped roof. However, the QX55 variant looks somewhat bolder and definitely more aggressive. On top of that, its stance is sportier and even some exterior parts. For example, sporty 20-inch wheels are definitely a nice addition to this new model.
Everything about this model is so sleek and modern. The roofline is inspired by the Infiniti FX35 model that no longer exists. The front fascia comes with a double-arch grille and sharper LED headlights. The side profile definitely shows us an impressive fastback styling and the rear part is just incredible. New QX55 model will offer very popular Dynamic Sunstone Red exterior paint.
Interior Details
The cabin looks stylish and modern. However, you can say the 2023 Infiniti QX55 really does look like the QX50 in terms of interior. Infiniti clearly feels that its recognizable interior is doing a great job so there’s no need to add something new. The QX55 SUV deploys nice quilted leather upholstery, a simple design, and a lot of premium stuff.
The base trim level offers faux-leather seats but you can buy optional genuine leather upholstery as well. You will find a lot of open-pore wood trims and carbon materials. The sloping roofline provides generous headroom but the cargo area is not that impressive. Tech-wise, the QX55 model will arrive with the dual-screen infotainment configuration and plenty of driver-assistance aids.
Engine Specs, MPG
The all-new 2023 Infiniti QX55 will deploy the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as the QX50 variant. It is a turbocharged VC-Turbo engine that generates up to 268 horsepower. Infiniti offers a standard continuously variable automatic transmission and standard all-wheel-drive system. This is the main difference between QX50 and QX55 models.
This crossover will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in around 6.2 seconds and the ride comfort is simply astonishing. Athletic handling and its sportier character seem like a perfect combination in our honest opinion. Lastly, fuel efficiency ratings are not available yet. However, we know that the QX50 model with the same engine delivers 27 mpg on the highway.
2023 Infiniti QX55 Release Date, Price
The price of the 2023 Infiniti QX55 will start at $43,000. There will be three trim levels, Luxe, Essential and Sensory. The Essential trim is available for $45,000 and the range-topping Sensory for $51,000. This brand-new crossover will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2021.
