New 2025 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain Redesign, Engine, and Specs – The upcoming 2025 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain is about to get a lot of improvements. The X-Terrain is the most expensive version of the D-Max pickup truck. For 2025, this model will arrive with a new engine and new suspension. Moreover, Isuzu will offer more tech, and the design of the cabin will also change. Isuzu promised better off-road ability, more torque and various other updates.
However, D-Max will still offer cheap stuff on the inside, including the button ergonomics and hard plastics. The customers are complaining about the price of the range-topping X-Terrain variant, which makes sense. Still, this is an awesome pickup truck that has so much to offer.
2025 D-Max X-Terrain Facelift
The all-new 2025 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain will hit the roads with further exterior upgrades. For a start, X-Terrain variant offers impressive 18-inch alloy wheels and new wider tires. A locking cargo roller is brand-new, along with the side steps and new tray flares. On top of that, D-Max comes with flared wheel arches and LED daytime running lights.
That is a lot of refreshments for 2025. Roof rails will remain, along with the LED headlights. Isuzu said new D-Max will introduce more standard equipment, including automatic windscreen wipers. Overall, the changes are drastic, and this should better reflect the price of the range-topping trim level.
Interior Refreshments
As for the interior, the 2025 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain will get a couple of significant improvements. The arriving pickup truck will get dual-zone climate control, finally. Furthermore, Isuzu will introduce a 9-inch infotainment display. It supports wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Current TFT driver display remains, but it will get a couple of updates, which is great.
Besides that, Isuzu D-Max comes with various driver-assistance aids, including blind-spot monitors, voice recognition and adaptive cruise control. The X-Terrain variant adds a lot more, so the remote start system is standard, next to the auto-folding wing mirrors and more quality materials.
Powerful Turbodiesel Engine
The D-Max pickup is known for its durability and reliability. Now, the 2025 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain will be improved in terms of performance, thanks to the new powertrain option. The new engine is a reliable 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX four-cylinder diesel engine. It comes with a turbocharger, and it can produce up to 190 horsepower.
Furthermore, diesel generates 332 lb-ft of torque. That is more than the current engine by 14 hp and 15 lb-ft of twisting power. Isuzu will offer both six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission. Lastly, diesel powertrain comes with a steel timing chain and diamond-like carbon piston crowns.
