The all-new 2023 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain is ready to hit markets in Australia sometime this year. Generally speaking, the D-Max pickup is one of the most selling trucks in its country. If you didn’t know, this truck shares the same architecture with the famous Mazda BT-50. However, the X-Terrain is the range-topping trim level, and it offers more equipment than the regular one.

By the way, the X-Terrain is powered by the same turbodiesel engine, but it delivers a little better output and torque. We also must mention that this pickup truck is not affordable at all. It starts at $58,000, which is far more than the standard version.

In fact, everything inside more upscale compared to the standard model, and we like the comfortable leather seats and the leather steering wheel.

As for the standard equipment, the new D-Max X-Terrain comes with a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, and it allows Apple CarPlay as the Android Auto connectivity. Safety is also excellent, and most of the credit goes to the lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring.

Engine Specs and Transmission

The latest edition 2023 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain is powered by a very potent engine. This model uses a 3.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder machinery that delivers 187 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Generally speaking, with the same engine as the regular model, the X-Terrain provides more power. It makes 13 additional horsepower and 15 lb-ft of twists.

On top of that, Isuzu paired this engine with a new smooth 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission. As you can see, the performance is excellent, and the X-Terrain is using a 4×4 part-time low-range system as standard.

However, its price is far than affordable, and it starts at $58,000. The regular truck also offers an excellent list of standard features, but it is significantly cheaper.

According to the manufacturer, the new pickup will hit showrooms later in 2021. Unfortunately, this truck is exclusively made only for Australian markets. When released, the D-Max X-Terrain will battle with models in the same class as the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger.
