It is the next-gen model so we expect to see significant changes and upgrades. So far, we saw the spy photos that are not showing that much, unfortunately.
Now, the newest renderings are showing how the all-new Sportage SUV could actually look like. The Asian manufacturers are taking a completely new design approach that looks both modern and fascinating. We can’t wait to see the new Tucson crossover, but the Sportage model will be equally exciting.
2023 Sportage Redesign

For a start, let’s stick to the spy photos. The 2023 Kia Sportage has been spotted a few weeks ago. The prototype clearly wears a new design, however, most of the novelties are perfectly camouflaged. From what we saw, the new-gen Sportage SUV will a more polarizing front fascia with attractive vertical headlights. On top of that, boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights are visible as well.
To the sides, Kia will offer new wheels that are sportier and more upright than the current rims. The rear end surely hosts a full-width light strip, but the taillights are still a mystery. New renderings are also available. The render images are giving us an idea of how the 2023 Sportage model could look like. Interior Revamp
The interior of the 2023 Kia Sportage will host drastic updates as well. The cabin will host more premium materials and additional soft-touch surfaces. The new model will also introduce a dual-screen cockpit, which is great to hear. On top of that, Sportage will offer standard tri-zone climate control.
The dashboard is redesigned and the center console now looks more modern. Some buttons and controls are no longer available, so Kia opted for a more minimalistic approach. New upholstery, interior color schemes, and safety aids are also in the offer.
Will Sportage SUV Get Hybrid Powertrain?
At this moment, we don’t know which engine will power the all-new 2023 Kia Sportage. Hopefully, Kia will opt for some sort of electrification, possibly a mild-hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrain. Again, Hyundai Tucson is the finest example of what Kia is trying to do with new models. Tucson comes with hybrid power, so Sportage could get something similar.
On the other hand, we don’t know if the current engine lineup will remain. Indeed, Sportage needs more power, so this is more than enough for some rumors to predict a larger 2.5-liter turbo engine. While it makes perfect sense, this is just another speculation.
2023 Kia Sportage Price, Release Date
As for the price, the new 2023 Kia Sportage will now cost about $25,000. This model should also arrive in the United States, but Kia will release more info in the coming weeks. Until then, this is generally everything we know about the next-gen Sportage SUV. The sales will begin in the second half of 2021.
