The upcoming 2023 Mitsubishi L200 will continue with mid-cycle improvements. The arriving pickup truck will gain a couple of modest updates, but the redesign is not on the cards yet. That includes visual updates, and Mitsubishi will make the cabin look even more attractive.
The interior provides a high level of comfort and plenty of modern features. The L200 model will also gain better fuel efficiency and a couple of changes under the shell. We are still waiting for official specs, but some things are already familiar.
2023 Mitsubishi L200 Changes
As we said, a redesign is not on the cards, so these speculations are false. The 2023 Mitsubishi L200 will arrive with another mid-cycle update. The current generation will stick for another year, so the latest upgrades are perfectly reasonable. The L200 pickup truck will remain intact in terms of size. That means the arriving model is again 205.0 inches long and 70 inches tall.

There are two variants in the offer, a two-door and a four-door version. Mitsubishi will work on styling, and L200 will look more modern than before. New sheet metal is in use, and the front fascia comes with a sharper look. Moreover, L200 will wear more muscles, so the appearance is more aggressive than before.
Interior Looks Better
The interior will remain in terms of design and seating layout. However, the 2023 Mitsubishi L200 will gain more tech and safety features. For a start, L200 will get more standard equipment, and that includes all trim levels. On the other hand, new safety aids are optional on the base model and standard on higher trim levels.
That includes driver-assistance features such as blind-spot monitoring and pedestrian detection. As we said, the design remains, but there is no need for further improvements at the moment. L200 comes with a unique interior that also provides enough room for the passengers.
2023 Mitsubishi L200 Engine Specs
The forthcoming 2023 Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck will use the same engine lineup as the current model. However, Mitsubishi promised slightly better performances and fuel economy ratings. A 2.4-liter turbodiesel is standard, with 180 horsepower. Optionally, a 2.5-liter turbodiesel is available, and it provides higher fuel efficiency. If you want a gasoline engine, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder is available.
This engine can produce up to 150 horsepower. Our choice is the optional diesel for numerous reasons. Somehow, a five-speed manual transmission is still available. Of course, we think you should go for a six-speed automatic gearbox. However, we don’t know which engine will gain the latest improvements and more power. Mitsubishi will also provide larger brakes and new driving modes. For instance, an off-road driving model is now available.
Price and Release Date
As for the price, the 2023 Mitsubishi L200 will cost slightly more than its predecessor. You can get the newest model for $31,000. This pickup truck is available all around the world. On some markets, L200 is known as Triton. The sales will start later in 2020, most likely in the last quarter of the year.
