According to Ram, the new truck offers a choice of three types of headlights: halogen, LED, and LED with adaptive front-lighting.
However, the more attractive design can be found on the Ram TRX model. This truck comes with a grille that resembles a handlebar mustache. Unlike the previous generation, the latest one uses a 6-lug axle, and there is no way to use an old set of 5-lug wheels. 18-inch steel wheels are standard and can be replaced with the bigger ones on upper trims. On the back, the manufacturer used lift assist and the RamBox bed storage that contains a 115-volt outlet.
Cabin Features and Equipment
Ram’s new pickup truck 1500 is available in six trim levels. Generally, each of the trims has its own unique themed cabin. For example, Laramie Longhorn comes with high-zoot Western, while the off-road Rebel trim features bold colors. Whatever trim you choose, the Ram 1500 offers great features and excellent comfort. Probably the most exciting update is a 12-inch screen that’s very easy to reconfigure.
The new cab layout remains the same, and this variant features a flat rear floor, providing enough room for legroom. However, if you need more room, go for the Crew Cab model. This version is around four inches longer, which means there’s more legroom.
Available Engines
Potent engines will once again power the upcoming 2023 Ram 1500. This pickup truck is reliable, and it provides excellent performance. The regular model comes with a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine that generates 305 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque.
The diesel engine is also available, and it consists of a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 powertrain making 260 horses and 480 lb-ft of torque. A 5.7-liter Hemi V8 will be optional one more time, producing 395 hp and 310 lb-ft of twisting power.
Ram 1500 TRX
However, the most powerful version is the Ram 1500 TRX. This truck comes with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that puts out 702 horsepower. A stout 8-speed automatic transmission backs the machine, and all TRX models use a 4-wheel drive as standard.
Hybrid System
As for the hybrid version, some early reports indicate that Ram will deploy the famous e-Torque system. This system combines standard 3.6-liter with an electric motor and an excellent battery pack. Total output will be around 400 horses, and we should expect astonishing fuel efficiency.
2023 Ram 1500 Price and Release Date
The new 2023 Ram 1500 is an excellent truck that will introduce many upgrades. That means we can also expect a small price increase. From some early reports, the base truck will start at around $30,000, which isn’t a drastic price increase at all. However, for just an additional $5000, one will have the opportunity to try the new Hybrid version.
The high-performance oriented version TRX will be available as well, and this truck will rival Ford’s new Raptor model. Expect more details closer to its arrival date, which will happen later this year.
