The whole lines of 2023 Ram HD models are in the works. According to the manufacturer, both 2500 and 3500 trucks will arrive later this year with mild refreshments.

The most exciting news is that HD models will get a new Trailer 360 View feature with an optional trailer camera system. Thanks to that, the new Ram HD should be easier to drive, resulting in a better view of the trailer and surroundings. However, as for exterior styling, expect a slightly modified front fascia and the same platform. Under the hood, Ram will be most likely to offer the same three engine options as before.

2023 Ram HD Facelift

The new 2023 Ram HD is the truck that will easily do all tasks that you require. On the other hand, it looks modern and stylish. Generally, heavy-duty Ram trucks are recognized by a very massive front fascia that includes a more prominent grille and narrowed directional LED headlights. However, depending on trim level and packages, the design of those trucks will vary.

Moreover, if you’re looking for a truck with the best off-road capability, then the Ram 2500 Power Wagon is your answer. This model has higher ground clearance, bead-lock-capable wheels, and rock rails/side steps.

Interior Upgrades

Like the exterior that gains mild refreshments, we can also expect the same to happen inside. Both Ram HD models should continue to offer many trim levels and cab styles. There are versions with a single cab, a four-door Crew Cab, and the largest Mega Cab.

Like the smaller Ram 1500, the new HD models offer the same luxurious cabin. Every model now includes a 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, navigation, digital rear camera mirror, Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and trailer reverse steering control. As we mentioned, the upcoming truck will gets a new Trailer 360 View feature with an optional trailer camera system.

2023 Ram HD Powertrain Options

Ram offers three engines on the latest HD models. The first one is available on both 2500 and 3500 Ram models. This mill is a 6.4-liter V8, and it can generate 410 horsepower. Considering that this is a potent gasoline-hungry engine, the new start/stop deactivation feature will help customers to save a bit of fuel during light use. Like before, power is sent through an 8-speed automatic transmission with a rear-wheel-drive as the default. Of course, all-wheel drive is optional.

The next engine that Ram offers is stronger. It uses a famous Cummins 6.7-liter inline-6 turbodiesel engine that produces 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. This engine is also available on both models. As a king of towing, the Ram 3500 comes with the most powerful machine. This version drains power from the 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel inline-6 mill making 400 horsepower and unavailable torque of 1,000 lb-ft. Unlike the models above, this one uses a specially developed 6-speed automatic transmission.

Release Date, Price

The fresh new 2023 Ram HD models will reportedly arrive sometime this year. Most likely that Ram will introduce both 2500 and 3500 models at the end of this year.

The Ram heavy-duty pickup starts at $34,095 for the base 2500 truck, while 3500 Tradesman costs $1300 more. Generally, the price can go up to $50,000 for a fully loaded version.
