Sad news for Tesla fans. According to the latest media reports, the forthcoming 2023 Tesla Cybertruck won’t be ready until the next year. After the presentation fiasco in 2019, this model has been tortured harder with one goal, to crush all the rivals in the segment.
So, the all-new truck will be improved, and this time there is no worries about the easy glass shattering with a small steel ball. Besides bulletproof glass improvements, Tesla should also make the finish materials of Cybertruck stiffer. Pre-orders of the truck are open, and you can get the entry-level model for just $39,900. The sad news is that you must wait until late 2023 to get it.
2023 Tesla Cybertruck Bulletproof Body
The 2023 Tesla Cybertruck looks futuristic and is for sure not an ordinary pickup truck. The body is bulletproof and is made of cold-rolled stainless steel. If you remember the movie Back to the Future, DeLorean features the same body.
During Cybertruck’s introduction event, Tesla’s head of design, Franz Von Holzhausen, shows how this truck’s body is rigid. Basically, it swings a sledgehammer into the driver’s door panel, leaving no visible damage. The highlight of this truck is definitively the advanced adaptive air suspension. Thanks to it, the Tesla can raise and lower its height as needed automatically.
Cabin Layout
The new 2023 Tesla Cybertruck looks odd inside. Like the exterior styling, the cabin is perfectly matched with it. Interestingly, this truck is the first in the world that comes featuring a 3-seat rear bench and enough room for six people. It offers a 6.4-foot cargo bed with 100 cubic feet of volume.
The front area includes a folding middle seat that functions as a center console when lowered, which is excellent. The Cybertruck’s spartan cabin features many standard equipments, with a dashboard that is solely dominated by one giant 17-inch touchscreen that is horizontally mounted in the center. Also, the squared-off steering wheel looks unique, and it has an illuminated display.
2023 Tesla Cybertruck Motor Specs and Range
The new 2023 Tesla Cybertruck will be offered in three versions. The entry-level model will use a single motor RWD that will provide no less than 250 miles range. According to Tesla, this model can run from 0 to 60 mph in just 6,5 sec. However, the second one is more powerful and is equipped with a dual-motor setup and AWD system. Unlike the first one, this will provide 300 miles range and a towing capacity of 10000 pounds.
The last one and the pinnacle of Tesla’s offer is a tri-motor AWD setup with a fantastic range of 500+ miles on the single charge. On top of that, this model can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2,9 sec. Also, towing increases with this unit to 14000 pounds.
Release Date and Price
According to the official website, the release date of the 2023 Tesla Cybertruck will happen in late 2023. The entry-level model with a single motor RWD starts at $39,900, while the more powerful model with a dual-motor costs $49,900. The most potent and expensive one uses a tri-motor AWD setup, and it cost 69,900 without a full self-driving system that is $10k more. By the time the Tesla Cybertruck arrives, we can also expect full electric truck like Ford F-150, Bollinger B1, Rivian R1T, and others.
