The GLB class made its debut last year, and Mercedes will continue with the refreshments. It slots between the GLA and GLS models, and it provides plenty of interior room. Moreover, GLB provides a better driving experience, and the highlight is its high-performance AMG variant.
For 2024, GLB will get a couple of exciting enhancements. Thanks to that, this crossover SUV will be more fun to drive and more modern. A four-cylinder engine under the hood remains, and it will provide more than enough power. On top of that, GLB’s price won’t change for 2024.

The GLB is very similar to the GLS-Class version in every possible way. That includes the boxy shape and the straight roofline. Even some exterior features are basically the same. For 2024, the design will remain, but Mercedes will slightly enlarge the headlights and taillights.
As for the interior, the 2024 GLB will continue to offer a lot of space. Whatsoever, GLB is slightly larger than its rivals, such as Audi Q3 or BMX X2. The GLB model offers a unique interior with plenty of modern touches. The 2024 model will arrive with an updated infotainment system, sportier seats, and new driver-assistance aids.
Engine Specs
The upcoming 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLB will continue to offer its 2.0-liter turbo-four engine. The base GLB250 trim level can produce 221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, an eight-speed automatic transmission is available. Interestingly, but A220 and CLA250 variants are using the same engine but are offering a seven-speed gearbox.
While the ride quality is superb, the GLB crossover is around 300 pounds heavier than its competitors. For that reason, its acceleration is not that impressive. However, the Sport mode will wake up the GLB’s throttle.
2024 Mercedes-Benz AMG GLB
The highlight of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLB crossover its all-new AMG high-performance version. The AMG variant uses the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine as the base model. However, it will produce 302 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, it will utilize a new launch control system.

This system will automatically optimize the vehicle for improved acceleration. Thanks to that, GLB AMG will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. That is around 1.5 seconds faster than the regular GLB crossover. The AMG model will also get a sportier theme, stiffer suspension, and a retuned 4Matic all-wheel-drive setup.
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLB Price and Release Date
New 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLB will cost around $37,000. On the other hand, its GLB 35 AMG variant should become available for about $45,000. Mercedes will introduce new optional packages, but we’ll have to wait for the German automaker to release more specific details. The sales will begin by the end of 2023.
