The approaching 2023 Audi Q2 is about to get further improvements. This crossover SUV is ready for the mid-cycle upgrades. That includes subtle exterior modifications and numerous interior updates. Whatsoever, the German manufacturer will focus on the interior in 2023. The compact crossover will get more tech and a longer list of standard amenities.
The rest of the vehicle should be a carryover. That also means the performances will stay intact. The fans are waiting for the all-electric Q2 e-Tron version to come out. It should be an instant hit in the United States and Europe, as well.
Audi Q2 – Design Changes
New spy shots are available, and we had an opportunity to see the latest exterior upgrades. The upcoming 2023 Audi Q2 will get minor design changes. However, some innovations are visible under the heavy camo. For a start, front fascia now comes with enlarged grille and headlights. Furthermore, the front bumper also looks longer than before.
In the back, the compact crossover will gain larger taillights and slightly different shapes. Dimensions will remain, and Q2 will remain a small model. Whatsoever, Q2 is shorter than the Audi A3 sedan. Still, Q2 comes with more ground clearance, and it definitely looks sportier. To the sides, nothing will change.
The Interior Gets More High-Tech Features
On the same spy photos, we could spot some of the interior details, as well. On top of that, the German manufacturer promised more high-tech features for the next year’s model. The 2023 Audi Q2 will also get a longer list of standard amenities. We predict the all-new Q2 for the newest contender in the luxury compact crossover segment. Audi’s iconic Virtual Cockpit is present inside this model. Old analog gauges are gone, and a new large touchscreen looks excellent.
It also provides useful information, and the interface looks simpler. Furthermore, the driver can now easily adjust the instrument cluster in the desired way. A new infotainment touchscreen is also available. Audi’s new Multi-Media Interface system is in the offer. It comes with cruise control, navigation and much more. Thanks to that, you will feel less stress on the highway. Interestingly, Audi does not offer adaptive cruise control.
Gasoline and Diesel Powertrain Options
Nothing will change under the bonnet. The forthcoming 2023 Audi Q2 still offers the same 1.0-liter engine. This particular three-cylinder unit is producing 116 horsepower. It comes with excellent fuel efficiency, but performances could’ve been better. Luckily, a 2.0-liter diesel is in the offer. The optional diesel variant can generate 150 hp. On top of that, this powertrain is available in two different outputs. The second output is suitable for 190 horses.
The Q2 crossover is using a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a standard front-wheel-drive setup. However, Audi’s iconic Quatro AWD system is not available. Finally, the 2023 Q2 e-Tron version will go on sale. It is an all-electric variant that will deliver slightly better performances. Most importantly, e-Tron will provide around 300 miles on a single charge.
2023 Audi Q2 Price and Release Date
The brand-new 2023 Audi Q2 will get a small jump in price. As a matter of fact, a new compact crossover will now cost $26,000. A diesel version starts at $30,000. Additionally, the all-electric Q2 e-Tron variant will be priced at $40,000. Audi plans to release its new model in the next month or two. As for the competition, the Q2 will rival Lexus UX, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and BMW X1.
