The forthcoming 2023 BMW X3 is a small crossover and probably the most-awaited BMW right now. First spy photos are online and X3 will definitely gain an even more modern and attractive design. Furthermore, this model will offer a higher level of comfort and additional high-tech features. The sales are great, especially in the United States.
BMW plans to manage even more sales in the future but the X3 model will offer a mid-cycle facelift. This means the redesign rumors were obviously false. Still, some changes will happen, which is great. The sales will begin later this year and BMW X3 will now cost more than its predecessor, but not drastically more.
BMW X3 Facelift
As we said, the spy shots of the 2023 BMW X3 are available. Redesign won’t happen, but 2023MY will introduce mid-cycle refreshments. This small crossover-SUV continues to ride on the same architecture, so the vehicle’s dimensions are the same. Spy photos are showing a heavily camouflaged prototype, so some changes are not visible.
Still, we can spot some of the latest design tweaks, mostly upfront. It looks like the grille is larger than before and the LED headlights are slimmer. Thanks to that, the front fascia now looks more attractive. The side profile is unchanged, or we can’t spot any latest novelties. The rear section hosts improved taillights graphics and a new two exhaust system.
The interior of the 2023 BMW X3 will host the same updates as the interior of the larger X5 SUV. This comes as no surprise, but X3 will surely look more modern on the inside. X5 variant still offers more luxury and more space. However, BMW X3 will also arrive with an improved interior. First of all, BMW will replace the current 8.8-inch display with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen. An all-digital instrument cluster looks amazing. BMW decided to replace analog gauges with a 12.3-inch screen panel.
The space in front of the driver now looks futuristic and less traditional. While the upper trim levels are offering real luxury, even the base variant is premium enough. This crossover offers standard features such as power-adjustable front seats, three-zone automatic climate control, faux-leather seats, and rain-sensing wipers. On top of that, we expect to see the newest safety aids.
X3 M40i Specs
Some changes under the hood are a possibility. However, we still can’t confirm the engine lineup. The 2023 BMW X3 will probably stick to its regular powertrain options. Everything starts with the xDrive30i model that runs on a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine. This engine develops 248 hp and the all-wheel-drive system is offered as standard. It is a powerful output, but the focus is on fuel efficiency.
If you want more power, the X3 M40i model deploys a larger 3.0-liter with 355 horses and 370 lb-ft of twisting power. A hybrid powertrain is available and it will generate around 290 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. The X3 Hybrid model will also provide about 18 miles of all-electric driving range. An eight-speed automatic transmission is once again available.
2023 BMW X3 Price, Release Date
The sales of the 2023 BMW X3 will begin later this year or in the first quarter of 2023. The price will start at $43,000 and the range-topping trim level costs almost $70,000. The manufacturer will reveal more details by the end of the summer.
