General Motors have great plans for the future. After the Silverado HD Z71 Sport Concept, another concept will go into production. It is the brand-new 2023 Chevy Silverado Redline Concept. This unique pickup made its debut at the 2019 SEMA show and it will go on sale later in 2021. To this date, Chevrolet offered only Redline Edition packages on models such as Traverse, Equinox, Colorado, and Camaro.
Now, Silverado pickup will get a similar treatment that will be based on the concept. You can expect various improvements and refreshments. The exterior will gain a completely new look and the interior will provide more luxury. Interestingly, even the performance will be slightly improved.
2023 Chevy Silverado Redline Is Based on the 1500 RST Variant
The upcoming 2023 Chevy Silverado Redline Concept is based on the current Silverado 1500 RST variant. That means you can expect plenty of body-colored features, an LED lighting system, and a relatively new power tailgate. The Redline Concept comes with a new black grille that is wider and it connects with the headlights. LED lighting elements are looking impressive, especially with inside dark bezels. Down below, lower fascia hosts a pair of red hooks.
The side profile sports red accents, mostly on the wing mirrors. The black door handles and side steps are the latest addition. Numerous badging, black fenders and 20-inch black wheels are also in the offer. Red stripes are everywhere to be more precise. The rear part comes with dual exhaust tips finished in a trapezoidal shape. Lastly, Silverado Redline Concept offers illuminated bowtie emblem on the grille and red six-piston Brembo brakes.
Interior Novelties
Unlike the regular model, the new 2023 Chevy Silverado Redline Concept will wear more red accents. Moreover, you can count on more upscale materials. The novelties you will first notice is the floor mats with red accents and the upholstery with red stitches. Of course, basically every part wears some sort of red color which provides a sportier vibe on the inside.
On the other hand, the interior design and its layout will largely remain. It is one of the best cabins in the segment and Chevrolet will offer its relatively new 10-inch touchscreen. Moreover, new storage boxes are available on all models and trim levels.
2023 Chevy Silverado Redline Concept Powertrain
The powertrain of the 2023 Chevy Silverado Redline Concept hasn’t been announced yet. However, this special edition will most likely deploy the same 6.2-liter with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine is optional on the base trim level while 5.3-liter V8 is still standard. Smaller displacement is producing up to 355 hp and 380 lb-ft of twisting power.
A 3.0-liter diesel should also become available. Since the Redline Concept is based on the RST version, diesel engine with 277 horses and 460 lb-ft of torque is the most likely candidate. A 10-speed automatic transmission will surely be in the offer. Interestingly, Silverado Redline Concept comes with Performance Exhaust and Cold Air Intake kit that will add 12 horsepower.
Price and Release Date
This addition will surely refresh Silverado’s lineup of models. The new 2023 Chevy Silverado Redline Concept is confirmed for the production. It already made its debut and this pickup will go on sale at some point in 2021.
Most likely, in the second half of the year. Unfortunately, the price is not available yet. Have in mind that the Silverado 1500 RST trim level starts at $40,500. That means the Redline model will cost closer to or around $45,000.
