Diesel Engine Most Likely Outcome
Most reliable reports are writing about 2.3-liter four-cylinder diesel engine. This powertrain should be offered as standard. The 2023 Mercedes X-Class will deliver 187 hp and up to 405 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed automatic transmission is available as the only option. On the other hand, a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 will be an optional engine that will deliver even more power.

Price is another mystery, but new 2023 Mercedes X-Class will cost between $30,000 and $40,000. The German automaker will surely offer a high-performance AMG version, and hybrid powertrain is a possibility as well. The sales will start later in 2020, most likely this November.
