One of the most robust Super Duty Trucks on the market, 2023 Ford F-450, will arrive later this year. The new truck for the latest news will be redesigned to keep up with other models in the segment. However, don’t expect significant changes this time because F-450 is just a carryover model.
That means it will keep the same proportions, design language, and the same mechanics. However, for 2023, the manufacturer has been made some upgrades, making this truck more stylish inside. Generally, the saddest news is that F-450 will no longer offer a 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine.
2023 Ford F-450 Exterior Tweaks
The tweaks on the new 2023Ford F-450 are mostly visible on the front fascia. This truck comes with a massive chrome grille that is flanked by the same shaped headlights. Moreover, the Lariat sport appearance package is the most affordable upgrade that includes stronger bumpers, mirrors, chrome exhaust tips, and black running boards.
Meanwhile, previously only available with Lariat, the black appearance package is now also available on the XLT. This package features many black accents on the 20-inch wheels, body-colored bumpers, grille, running boards, and blacked-out Ford badges.
Interior With Much Bigger Screen
The most exciting news is that all Ford F-Series Super Duty pickups will be available with a new horizontally oriented 12.0-inch touchscreen. If you didn’t know, the same screen is present on the lighter F-150 model. Besides that, the 2023 Ford F-450 will keep the same spacious cabin with enough room to fit five passengers.
However, other tweaks inside include the latest Ford’s Sync 4 infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. However, unlike the Ford F-150, the Ford F-Series Super Duty pickup doesn’t get the 12.0-inch digital gauge. For 2023, Blue Oval added some new colors inside, including Baja interior paint for the Lariat, Navy Pier, and Light Slate interiors for the Limited models.
Engine Specs, Towing Capacity
Under the hood, the upcoming 2023 Ford F-450 won’t offer anymore 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine. The new truck will only be offered with two engine options from the information that many media recently reveals. A 7.3-liter gasoline V8 is now a standard unit, and it generates 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. However, like before, this engine is coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Optionally, the manufacturer offers a 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel that is a more favorable option. It is capable of producing 450 horsepower with a torque of 1000 lb-ft. Towing capacity is much better, and the F-450 truck now can tows up to 37,000 pounds.
2023 Ford F-450 Price, Release Date
The redesigned 2023 Ford F-450 will introduce some mild updates. Generally, the upcoming truck is mostly a carryover from the previous one. Moreover, considering that, expect a slight price increase.
We expect the price to start at around $51,000. On the other hand, the range-topping trim level will easily cross the $70,000 mark. According to Blue Oval, the whole line of Super Duty lineup will hit the dealerships at the end of the year.
