The approaching 2023 Infiniti QX80 is going on sale later next year. This large SUV will arrive with numerous updates and some of them are significant. The exterior of the QX80 model will look more attractive and modern. Moreover, the interior will get more upright materials and some new high-tech features.
This comes as no surprise, as Infiniti offers one of the best cabin designs in the segment. The complete model is full of high-quality stuff and the performances are great. However, we don’t know if the new model will introduce some sort of improvement under the hood.
2023 QX80 Redesign
The 2023 Infiniti QX80 is one of those models that makes a real standout in the crowd. To be honest, there are only a few models that can rival the new QX80 SUV. This model is large and imposing. However, it wears a recognizable design and its stance is athletic. Generally, every exterior part looks impressive and stylish. That includes everything from the wheels to the exterior paints. The QX80 is 209 inches long, which is on par with Chevy Suburban.
The front fascia hosts a dominant grille and modernly-shaped LED headlights that are offered as standard. 22-inch wheels are standard on the upper trim levels and are looking incredibly stylish. If you want more luxury, the Monograph model is full of standard equipment and numerous premium amenities. As for the changes, the new 2023 QX80 will gain a mid-cycle facelift. That includes minor changes on the bodywork and slightly resized exterior features.
Interior Updates
The interior of the 2023 Infiniti QX80 will continue with improvements. The cabin is refreshed, just enough to put this model above its competitors. As we already said, the interior is full of luxury and high-quality features. The interior layout is very similar to the Lincoln Aviator. However, we think the QX80 model looks more attractive. The cabin room is impressive and there will be three rows of seats. Legroom is ample, even in the third-row and there will be room for seven passengers.
On top of that, the eight-seat configuration is optional. The cabin is full of leather materials, wood trims, and chrome accents. Tech-wise, the QX80 is full of advanced driver-assistance aids so its safety ratings are truly astonishing. When it comes to standard equipment, the list is long. We’ll just mention features such as a 13-speaker Bose sound system, tri-zone climate control, and the latest phone integrations.
Potent V8 Engine
The upcoming 2023 Infiniti QX80 will once again ride on its reliable and potent V8 engine. It is a 5.6-liter V8 that generates up to 400 horsepower and 414 lb-ft of torque. The rear-wheel-drive is standard but you can buy an optional all-wheel-drive system. The AWD setup will slightly lower the fuel economy but this system comes with plenty of benefits, including additional driving modes.
A seven-speed automatic transmission is in the offer and QX80 SUV can tow up to 8,500 pounds. The fuel economy is rated at only 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. While this model is full of luxury and it provides great performances, fuel efficiency is perhaps the only issue.
2023 Infiniti QX80 Release Date, Price
The all-new 2023 Infiniti QX80 will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2021. This model will once again cost slightly below $70,000. On the other hand, upper trim levels will cost around and over $90,000. The biggest competitors are models such as Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
